Bigfoot Security Breach?

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on January 27th, 2006

Strange story from the AP yesterday out of Little Rock Arkansas.

A guard who reported a security breach inside the nation’s second-largest chemical weapons depot may have mistaken wildlife for human intruders, authorities said Thursday.

The commander of the Pine Bluff Arsenal said officials combed the area but found no footprints or other evidence of human intruders.

“There’s no doubt in my mind that the officer saw something, but it wasn’t human,” Col. Brian S. Lindamood said. “At this time I have no idea what it could be.”

“He reported that he saw three individuals on foot inside the (secure area) and when he approached in his vehicle they ran into the woods,” he said.

Lindamood said the guard was between 70 and 165 feet away at the time and the area was brightly lit. The guard won’t face any disciplinary measures.

So what are we talking here? An army guard that was patrolling inside a 500-acre secured section of the chemical weapens aresenal. We’re talking nerve gas here, so it would have to be pretty damed secure…at least you would hope so.

He was anywhere from 70 to 165 feet away from three non-human individuals on foot, in a brightly lit area no less. If they were animals, they would have had to have been on foot, wouldn’t they?

The last I knew, animals didn’t have cars. Bears? The only bears I’ve seen on bikes was in the circus.

He was in a vehicle and three non-human individuals managed to elude him and ran into the woods?

It seems like he would have been able to distinguish between humans and animals at 70 to 165 feet in brightly lit conditions, doesn’t it?

It wasn’t human, but they don’t know what it could be.

Hmmmm, I wonder?

Nah! It couldn’t have been.

Could it?

What do the Cryptomundo readers think? Government conspiracy to cover up Bigfoot? Or terrorism? Or something else?

Naahh… G.W.B.’s buddies, Bigfoot just wanted to check security.

  2. Stosh responds:

Knowing the governess they’re not going to use the “B” word (Bigfoot) or the “S” word (Sasquatch) but they will tell all of us a bunch of B.S. 🙂

  3. MountDesertIslander responds:

I find it interesting that the guy reports intruders, stands by his story, and searchs for them in the trees and we are to take some comfort from the fact that he won’t face disciplinary action. What does that tell you about why people often refuse to report sighting something strange.

  4. Berkastler responds:

Momma bear, Poppa bear, and Baby bear?

  5. cpac22 responds:

Surviellance cameras? I would imagine that at a facility of this type they should have had cameras of some sort along the entire perimeter.

  6. bill green responds:

hi everyone wow definetly keep me posted on this bigfoot story, maybe you all should try to contact the reporter who wrote the story. please keep me definetly posted ok…

  7. jjames1 responds:

Am I the only one who thinks it’s bizarre that the guard estimates that he was between “70 and 165 feet” away from the creatures? That’s a HUGE range over a relatively short distance. How in the world would he not be able to tell if they were 150 feet away or 70?

  8. Mike Smith responds:

I find this very intresting. This being a US military chemical weapons base, you bet it will have cameras, lots and lots of cameras. Plus ground motion detectors. If anything was around that base they will have it on tape. Now they may not admit that they have anything. This is very intresting. Craig, Please keep us posted on this.

  9. Scarfe responds:

Bigfoot is a terrorist! America under attack from the woods!

  10. shovethenos responds:

Just out of curiosity, what county or counties does the Pine Bluff Arsenal reside in?

  11. J. responds:

From the article link in the first sentence of this entry: located a half-hour south of Little Rock.

Little Rock is in Pulaski County.

The BFRO site does have one sighting for Pulaski, and 5 for the county below it, Saline.

    Here
are some maps with the counties outlined.

  12. Chris responds:

How did they determine the intruders were not human? I think to admit that security had been breeched by humans would be a tremendous embarrassment to the installation so they quickly, publicly, conveniently rule out humans as the intruders. My money’s on them actually being human. Let’s just hope they didn’t get very far into the compound to where the stuff is actually stored.

  13. Chris responds:

Maybe it’s a fundraiser to boost homeland security spending.

  14. bill green responds:

hi craig & everyone i wonder if that miltary base has cameras if so that means sasquatch creatures were probley on film in it. the people who saw the sasquatches probly will eventually have to write up a full official off record report about to us. maybe researchers here can contact these people saw these creatures somehow. please keep me defintly posted on this im sure we will here more about this sasquatch case. good morning bill 🙂

  15. Doug responds:

Seems my home state is big in the cypto news lately! Well, the last I read in the paper (Democrat-Gazette) that is has been attributed to deer (?) and been determined to be wildlife. I didn’t know they were so adept at scaling 8 foot perimeter fences with razorwire. Strange, indeed. Didn’t know they could walk on twos either.

  16. J. responds:

According to this , deer can jump over 8 foot tall fences.

But the description doesn’t sound like it was deer.

“He reported that he saw three individuals on foot inside the (secure area) and when he approached in his vehicle they ran into the woods.”

  17. 2400bc responds:

The creatures could have been 70 to 165 feet away like this:

Since there were 3 the closest may have been about 70 feet away, and the furthest about 165 feet away. They were spread out, and not in a tight group. The guard did not say they were stepping on each others heels.

    Strange.

  18. mustang responds:

I lived across the street about a 1/2 mile from the Arsenal. There are a lot of animals on the property, we had wolves visit very often. The arsenal is actually located in Jefferson County, off Highway 365. People live on the base. There is no telling what animals could be living in the woods on the grounds of the arsenal. Maybe it was 3 Chupacabras! Maybe it was aliens! Who knows! There are a lot of strange things around the arsenal.

  19. Arkansan_88 responds:

I live in Hensley which is about 20-30 minutes from the arsenal. I wouldn’t mind going to look for Bigfoot but I dont know much about Pine Bluff and I’m not sure if it’s ok to go around that area. I hope it was Bigfoot that the guard saw. I’ve always wanted to go on a Bigfoot expedition. Now that I hear Bigfoot may have been sighted 20 minutes from my house….I couldn’t believe it. Maybe I will get to look for Bigfoot after all. I would really like to know if it’s ok to look around there a little bit. If you live around Pine Bluff and have the time please respond here and let me know something. Thanks

  20. bill green responds:

so any new updates about this possible sasquatch security breech story. thanks bill . anyone contact the people that are on the miltary base.i agree the tbrc should go a expedition near this miltary base.:)

  21. joppa responds:

Breaking news. Bigfoots break into base. Covert cryptids case chemical cache. Marines man machineguns. Hominds hotfoot to Hot Springs. Secrecy shrouds secret site. Film at 11 – not.

  22. apostlejimi responds:

I live about 1/2 mile from base on the end of the road. There is big field behind my house that goes for miles until run into the freeway. There are dogs that live up the road that most often bark except when there is this strange sound that I hear when it is pitch black (no moon) or foggy. I have never heard before anywhere except here in this area around my house. There is wildlife everywhere. You could shoot deer off your back porch. I like out doors been in and out of the woods all my life. There something strange here.
