Breakdown of various genres of cryptozoology-related programming and films

Cryptozoology is going mainstream! Nowadays, people can’t get enough of bipedal monsters, lake monsters, cave monsters, flying monsters, and mutated monsters. To feed this exploding appetite for monsters, it seems you can’t turn on the TV or go to the movies without seeing one of several different types of formats.

To help clarify the splintering genres, here’s an overview to help us all understand the various categories.

You probably have a favorite category, and there might be a category that you wish would go extinct. In the comment section, feel free to name names and tell us your favorite and least favorite categories, shows, and movies.

Add tonight’s giant shark feature on Discovery about ‘submarine’ to the fiction accounts. So disgusted with Discovery for this crap.
