Senior prank? Missing giant Bigfoot statue found at Medical Lake High School

MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. – A giant Bigfoot statue that was stolen from a Downtown Spokane antique store has been found at Medical Lake High School.

The owners of the eight-foot tall brown solid steel Bigfoot said their store mascot was stolen from the side of their building near Main and Division sometime Tuesday night.

Deputies told KREM 2 News a groundskeeper at Medical Lake High School found the statue while he was mowing the lawn by some softball fields Wednesday night.

Coaches helped officers load up the statue.

It’s now in custody at Medical Lake’s Police Department waiting for its owners to pick it up.

Deputies don’t know how Bigfoot got to the school, but think students might be playing a prank.

“We’re going to listen to see if anyone is bragging about Bigfoot or if there are any pics out there with him,” said Deputy David Bratton of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.

The owners of “The Roost” antique store said they’re trying to make arrangements to pick it up Thursday.

The owners said it probably took at least three people to unbolt the statue from their building and haul it away.KREM.com

Wow, some seriously devoted pranksters out there. I imagine those bolts were pretty rusted, and solid steel is heavy. Still at least it wasn’t a cow in the auditorium or anything messy like that.

    Devoted is an understatement. 🙂
