    Cool. I can’t wait!

  2. Hapa responds:

I cannot wait for this film to come out. I grew up on Godzilla movies (I owned several, including Godzilla vs King Kong (Didn’t agree with the ending: Godzilla should have won) and Godzilla vs Megalon. One of my favorites was Godzilla 1985. I own and do enjoy the 1999 American movie, but I have to confess that the creature was not as visually appealing nor as invincible as the Japanese original, was not as tough (a few airplane missile strikes took it out. glassjaw!) and it did not have the Japanese actors having their words dubbed in English so that their lips looked as if they didn’t know what their vocal cords were doing (comedy bliss). Probably won’t have that latter part with this upcoming movie, but it otherwise looks kick butt, and the fact that Godzilla is not portrayed as a super fast and agile giant shows that it will be the invincible, laugh-at-your-tanks-planes-and-missiles super monster, just like it was in the beginning.
