Idaho Bigfoot Drone Video Hoax Fallout

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on June 17th, 2016

A drone video went viral, allegedly recording bigfoot in Idaho. The film’s producers announced that it was all a hoax. Sadly, a self proclaimed bigfoot researcher’s reputation has now been destroyed…

    I saw it yesterday…

    LOL

where are all those guys now from the other thread who were swearing up and down it was a bigfoot?

hate to say it, but, once again, I was right. 🙂

I just can’t fathom what motivates hoaxers. But then again – what motivates computer hackers for instance ? I think these people have an infantile sense of humor. Plus an inherent nastiness in wanting to make fools of people. They do great harm to serious research. I think more should be done to identify and shame them. Get their names out there. Get pictures/videos of them out there. So everyone will know who they are and will not be taken in by these morons a second time.

  3. David-Australia responds:

    PVB:
    I wasn’t taken in even a first time . . .

  4. Peter Von Berg responds:

Well actually I wasn’t either. I’m just speaking in general.

  5. springheeledjack responds:

It’s people like that and footage like this that force us to be on our game.

As far as the thread is concerned–just eye rolling. Shaw went out there and then based on whatever he found he backed the footage. Eh, it happens. Is his career destroyed? No, not by a long shot.

That is the nature of investigation, my friends. Everyone who investigates anything or researches anything makes mistakes along the way. Hopefully you learn from your mistakes and become a better researcher, but it goes with the territory I’m afraid.

Heck, I thought the footage was impressive–from seeing the birds eye view I thought the figure was moving a whole lot faster than it was. I’ll chalk it up to visual perspective, but in the end it was solved by Cryptomundians able to come up with the numbers to figure out the ground speed, which put it into a whole new perspective.

And again, that’s what this site and cryptos in general are up against. Figuring out the legit encounters vs. the ones involving people with too much time on their hands.

The only real thing that bothers me is not the hoaxers and pranksters, but the crypto community itself. There seem to be all of these factions out there who are trying to get the proof, but instead of working together and pushing each other up, they seem bent on wanting to “get there first” and ready to blacken eyes of others who make mistakes–as fast as they can.

Now I will throw some of the weight of that on the scoftics. That crowd is always looking to refute whatever they can on the crypto front, and they seem to have this unwritten code of deciding that if a researcher makes even one little mistake it throws all of their work out the door. Ridiculous, I say.

I’ve got news–science is founded on failure and making mistakes. It’s part of the process. You try something, try to recreate the circumstances or the process that led to the initial results and if it works you may have something. And if not, you figure out why and move on.

Actually this is a classic example of a well thought out hoax and it’s a learning experience for everyone. The hoaxes keep getting better and better and we do have to look with a discerning eye. There are legitimate incidents out there, and for good or ill, we have to sift through the crap to find them.

Moving on to the next vid/pic/account.

  6. dconstrukt responds:

@ springheeledjack – those hoaxers aren’t fooling anyone with half a brain dude… just you guys who are too drunk on your own kool aid… 🙂 I’ve not been fooled with any of those jabronie videos because I’m using my brain and some common sense. 🙂

  7. springheeledjack responds:

    Cause you’re so cool…

It’s idiots like you I’m talking about–instead of working for the greater good, you’re just sitting on here trying to toot your own horn about how smart you are. Not impressed.

And for the record, while I was impressed, it wasn’t a foregone conclusion on my part that it was 100% legit. Again, it took time for the facts to come out.

ANY video or photo gets the same response: in today’s tech world, videos and pics are really low on the evidence scale just because of capabilities of average people who can get their hands on some high tech equipment for cheap.

Come back when you grow up and are ready to get to the truth…

  8. dconstrukt responds:

@ springheeledjack – what you talking about willis?

of course you post something and the jabronies come to flame you and insult you..

so you swore up and down this hoax video was real, gave you 25 reasons why….

    and I’M the idiot here?

    HAHAHAHAHAHA….

cmon man… take a long hard look in the mirror.

you thought a hoax video was real.

    let that sink in…

and just so you’re aware, I’m not trying to impress you my man… not even remotely… you’re too busy drinking your own cool aid… and being “up on your game”… I’d have to be trying to impress morons in this case… and thats not even remotely the case here.

here’s a tip: first, stop thinking you’re so smart.

    you’re not.

    not even remotely.

    quite the opposite my man.

you were sitting there posting how and why that video was a bigfoot.

    cmon man

then you’re going to try to insult me?

    I’m the idiot here?

    ROFLMAO!!!

you mr. “its a bigfoot” from an obvious hoax video.

HAHA… cmon man… who’s the fool here? the dude who swore up and down a hoax video was real?

or the dude who called it was BS?

i’ll let you marinate on that for a while mr genius.

doesn’t take time to find out it was a hoax… its called COMMON F’N SENSE… obviously you seem to be severely lacking in this trait.

you have to find the irony in this…. the guy who swore a hoax video was real is calling the guy who called it an idiot.

    wow.

hahaha… come back when you’ve got some brain cells left…

  9. Goodfoot responds:

Hey everybody: deconstruct is the smartest one here! The brightest of the bright! We bow before his greatness!!

Deconstruct is THE BEST OF THE BEST!!! The creme de la creme. We are all JABRONIES, unfit to shine his shoes.

    SURE HE IS.
