Back in 2010, there was talk that a Sasquatch was filmed during the 2000 production of the IMAX film Great North.

The “creature” appears in the film at the “9:20” mark into the footage.

Sasquatch Filmed in IMAX?

ThinkerThunker interviews the cameraman:

So you thought it was a bear, a crew-member in the shot or just some spectator that got caught on camera? Hear firsthand from the man who filmed it.

IMAX crew accidentally films a bigfoot. Skeptics claim it’s only a crew member wearing a backpack, but we see where this CAN’T be a crew member, unless he’s a giant, an Olympic sprinter and travels with his pet monkey (you’ll see 🙂

    Wow. Fascinating interview.

It arguably puts this footage in the top 10 of all time.

  2. Peter Von Berg responds:

This is just fantastic. Goodbye hoaxes. This man is an expert, totally honest and believable. Good Lord, finally something truly momentous.

  3. Goodfoot responds:

    Well well well.

  4. springheeledjack responds:

At the 5:37 mark or so if you watch the blown up movement–the way the figure is positioned, it looks exactly like a guy on a motorcycle or a bike. The figures arms aren’t moving like it’s running and it the body doesn’t bob up and down like someone/thing running.

  5. Logan5 responds:

An interesting observation, springheeledjack. I agree, it almost looks like a motorcycle or BMX rider comes up the hill diagonally, then veers back down the hill. I don’t know if that is what it is, but it didn’t seem to move like a creature that was walking/running.

I’m going to reserve judgement, because I’m just not sure what I’m seeing.

  6. springheeledjack responds:

Logan5, I agree on reserving judgment. Not proof positive, but watching it, my first impressions was someone on a two wheeled vehicle. I’d have to see something really compelling to dispel that.

Unfortunately, that’s all we’ve got for footage. Either a person, Bigfoot, or something else, it stays out of the camera angle and we’ll never know for sure…

    “It doesn’t look like it’s running…”

Just like EVERY BIGFOOT Documentary that says Bigfoot seems to be floating or gliding over the ground. Why? Maybe due to its “metatarsal hinged midsole”. If it “floats” while walking, it likely doesn’t swing its arms like we do to maintain balance while running. Originally, this looked too “manlike” for me, but unless this cinematographer is lying through his teeth, I like this a lot more now.

While its not earth shattering, it moves it closer to the truth side of the stack of films.

    Mike
