  1. PoeticsOfBigfoot responds:

Does it really look like it’s back, or is that just a gimmick for the show?

  2. Hank S responds:

The whole show is a gimmick: Finding Bigfoot crossed with Mountain Men.

The only thing the young one of the bunch is capable of catching is a hearty case of diabetes.

  3. Hambone responds:

This show is just plain bad, I can’t bare to watch redneck hillbillies run around the woods screaming and wanting to shoot something.

  4. Goodfoot responds:

First claim I ever heard that Mothman CA– USED the collapse of the Silver Bridge. I don’t think anything this side of Mothra could do that by wing-flapping. I’ve studied this a lot, and I’m not sure these guys have.

The belief, as I understand it, is that Mothman was a harbinger, an omen, of disaster, not a cause of any.

  5. Rob008 responds:

I actually liked this show, until now. They treated the Mothman like he was a giant moth. Come on! It’s attracted to light and they built a giant bug zapper, to catch it! Where did they get this teleportation crap? I have never read that the Mothman can teleport to different locations. I liked the other episodes, but this one. I don’t know. I hope the next one is better.

  6. MattPriceTime responds:

I think they just stretched the material to put something more famous on the show. I don’t recall Mothman ever being flat out said able to teleport, but it moving freakishly fast is something, and again why as i said before if Mothman as described is real, we’ve got some biology and physics text books to rewrite.

On the bridge part, yes some people always believed Mothman caused it. Some reports even said they sighted it under the bridge. However the more wide spread belief is the supernatural harbinger idea.

  7. Goodfoot responds:

Hambone: Be thankful they don’t want to shoot you! This “reality TV” thing has gone over the wall, way downstream and over Niagara Falls. I don’t know who’s more slavishly formulaic, television, the movie industry, or the record industry (notice I didn’t say, “music industry”). There’s good music being made, but the industry overlooks most of it.

  8. springheeledjack responds:

This was just an episode of “Lost Tapes.” Cause Mothman’s “powers” re-lighting torches and shorting out giant electric cages (for giant moths?), is worse than an episode of Scooby Doo. And Ding-danged if ole Mothman didn’t get his self away from those goll dern galloots…

    I’m out.

  9. DaSOB responds:

This “reality” show is getting more ridiculous with each episode. I watch it now simply for the comedic value rather than for any real investigative content. The program is clearly staged, complete with planted “evidence”, faked photos/videos and dubbed-in sound effects.

You have a bunch of “investigators” who look more like characters out of “Snuffy Smith” out in the woods at night waving firearms around, allegedly looking for all kinds of mysterious (and very likely nonexistent) critters, overacting in the worst way, ready to shoot at… something, anything. I’m a hunter myself, and I’d be scared to death if I knew that this gang of buffoons were in the same patch of woods with me.

The Mothman episode has gone off the chart. The video allegedly shot by the guy with the cell phone is so obviously faked that it’s not even amusing. All the histrionics, the “glowing eyes” that knocked Buck out, and to cap it all off the off the flaming torches and the electrified trap that would prevent Mothman from teleporting (where did THAT come from??)… Puh-LEEZE!

The show is a farce and the characters are clowns. Watch it for laughs, but not for any other reason.
