ThinkerThunker – Survivorman – Les Stroud, Watched by Bigfoot

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on May 8th, 2015

Something’s there, way up in trees behind Les, as he makes his way through the forest. Is it Bigfoot …? Have a look and see.
The morale to this story: when out – look up.

Are we to believe that Stroud doesn’t notice that there are Bigfoot in the trees that he’s walking under? Thunker’s grasping at straws here and plugging for $$ support. The outline of the figure with its limbs splayed out is ludicrous. If Stroud cannot the deliver the goods, than he should not be supported. In my career, if I didn’t deliver, I didn’t get paid. If he doesn’t get supported, he can always go the comedy route along with “Mountain Monsters” and probably get higher ratings and pricier ad rates. I’m starting to believe that if your reality adventure show is slipping viewership, call in Bigfoot. No one seems to mind that you don’t actually find Bigfoot or any tangible evidence of it’s existence.

While I agree with PhotoExpert’s exposing ThinkerThunker for what he is (I have long held this view), I dont believe Mr Stroud is trying to mislead anyone. To suggest otherwise is rash and irresponsible, to say the least. Mr Stroud has stated many times that he is neither believer nor skeptic; indeed, he is simply seeking the truth himself. I have put in many long years trying to deal with my obsession; others should do so before smearing those who could shed light on this mystery (although I deeply respect Cryptokellie’s opinion).

  3. cryptokellie responds:

I am in no way smearing Mr. Stroud. My comments were directed at Thunker and his act. Of course, if you can’t come across with the goods, why should you be supported unless the real goods are ratings and ad revenue which is what TV is all about and if Mr. Stroud’s ratings are positive with his Bigfoot search than more power to him. I only feel that at some point, the rubber has to meet the road …if you know what I mean.

  4. Raiderpithicusblaci responds:

    Very well put.

  5. PhotoExpert responds:

Cryptokellie–I get what you are saying. And I agree with you. There are those that will profit from pretending to research Bigfoot. They capitalize on the efforts of true research and this takes away from honest efforts in researching Bigfoot. Well said!

Raiderpithicusblaci–You, my friend, are one very intelligent human being! I am always impressed when I read your posts. You have the unique ability to see through BS and tell the truth. Keep up the good work!

In my opinion of the 3 TV programs that regularly deal with Bigfoot, Sasquatch, etc. (Survivorman Bigfoot, Finding Bigfoot and Mountain Monsters), Les Stroud’s Survivorman is the only one that to me can be taken seriously. Mountain Monsters could rightly be called the Keystone Kops Hunt Cryptid, and with Matt, Cliff, Bobo and Ranae yelling and hollering with their walkie talkies the chances of them finding their quarry seems doubtful seeing as also they have camera crews right along with them. Les Stroud on the other hand is often solo, no camera crew other than the camera he’s holding. I remember an interesting article written by the late Ivan Sanderson and published in Sports Afield entitled “The Ultimate Hunt.” It dealt with the yeti and in it were his suggestions for going after it, the gist of which was trying to have as little artificial with you, no hunting dogs, go out and quietly choose a camp site and sit and wait. It was his contention that sooner or later if you were in their territory they would come and check you out. I think Stroud’s methods are far nearer to that than the Keystone Kops or the fearsome foursome. I think he is more likely to find something conclusive that the others.
