Thoughts on 10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on January 21st, 2014

As I discussed back in 2011 here on Cryptomundo about the same complaints about Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot: Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot: Research or Entertainment?, I offer my thoughts on 10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty.

The show portrays Bigfoot research in a bad light.

No wonder science doesn’t pay any attention to Bigfoot research with shows like this representing the Bigfoot community.

Here are my thoughts on the show:

It’s entertainment. The show producers don’t care about research, they care about drama. Do you think the producers of Survivor care about how to survive on a deserted island? No. It’s about ad revenue, pure and simple. What is going to cause the most amount of people possible to tune in to watch the show.

    Agreed.

  2. dconstrukt responds:

if you think the show is bad…. you should see the “evidence” being passed around online as legit.

the show fits the community as a whole… overhyped, nonsense.

Now, maybe people will get so pissed from watching this crap, they’ll go the other direction and use their brains to see whats real and whats phony.

  3. PoeticsOfBigfoot responds:

Good thing almost no one is watching it.

  4. Steve Holt via Facebook responds:

I agree, TV only wants the drama and ratings. So what would really happen if they find Bigfoot or shoot and.kill one.in 10 million dollar bounty? Would they share evidence? Would we as TV viewers see it on the next episode or would the just keep up the suspense? Guess we will have to wait for the real researchers to document Bigfoot and.other cyrptids.

  5. Erick Wolfgang Borgir via Facebook responds:

Hopefully its research. I’ve met Cliff and he seems to be a pretty legit guy. Not to say that we know each other well but by seeing his actions on the show I believe him to be genuinely interested in the research

  6. Erick Wolfgang Borgir via Facebook responds:

10 million dollar bounty? Not so much

  7. alan borky responds:

I never watch this sort o’ stuff meself but I think a lot o’ people’re missin’ a point here.

It’s all very well gettin’ prissy ’bout its phoniness but there’re a huge number o’ baby Woolheaters/Redferns/Colemans who as a result o’ bein’ exposed t’these shows’ll grow up t’decide Bigfoot research etc constitutes real science in much the same way kids who grew up watchin’ the sheer scientific tosh that was Star Trek’re precisely the ones pushin’ t’make space research once again about puttin’ real people on real planets rather than deferrin’ t’computer algorithm generated paradigms.
