Woman Claims She Raised a Baby Bigfoot

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on February 13th, 2014

From cryptozoologynews.com:

AVONDALE, La. A woman claims she helped raise a Bigfoot between the years 1964 and 1972. L. Melacetti, 70, says she found the animal when he was a baby, abandoned in the swamps of Louisiana.

“He was so little, so cute. I had to do something about it. He was so defenseless, laying next to the mud and water, curled, crying like a baby, his parents were either dead or they had abandoned him,” the ex-farmer said.

The hominid, Melacetti explained, was 20 pounds and had a hairless face that “did not look like a human’s nor a monkey’s.”

“He accepted me as a friend right away. I took him home only for three nights to nurse him back to health.”

In the course of those three days, she fed the Bigfoot anything she had at hand, from lettuce and tomatoes, to eggs and goat milk. “And he liked tomatoes very much. He’d take them away from my hands and eat them whole. His favorite ones were brandywine, although he seemed to enjoy the cherry tomatoes too.”

After releasing the animal back into the wilderness, it kept coming back to Melacetti’s small house. “So, every time he came back, usually during evening, when most people weren’t around, I’d give him more food.”

    Oh my, what a story.

  2. dconstrukt responds:

lol… this is comical at best.

BUT… she has no photos or proof.

    ya… we TOTALLY believe her.

heck, i can see champ swimming in our condo’s pool.

  3. cryptokellie responds:

It is truly is a shame that cameras of any kind were not available in Louisiana for sale or loan during the late sixties and early seventies. Fond memories of an event that didn’t happen.

  4. Goodfoot responds:

Shocking as it may seem, there exist parents who have never taken a picture of their children. For example, the Amish.

  5. cryptokellie responds:

That is true about the Amish not allowing photography but, they are well documented as a group. Other people have rudely taken photographs without permission and yet they are friendly and easy to see. I live 90 minutes from Pennsylvania Dutch country and visit Lancaster and true Amish hamlets like Bird In Hand and Paradise almost once a year. Unlike the above tale, no proof is needed for their existence so the photography element is irrelevant.
By the way, the television show “Amish Mafia” is a total fraud. We recently stayed at a bed and breakfast inn in Lancaster and the owners told us of the TV film crew using their property and barns for the show, doing crazy things that the true Amish would never do.

It took her 42 years later to tell her story and if it is true why wait so long? She did mention she has photos but keeps them in a secret place. Well lady, you got your story out and it’s up to the rest of us to decide on whether it’s true or not.

For now it’s just a story with no verifiable evidence to back it up but it made for some interesting reading.

From what I’ve read about the story, she actually told a friend and the friend outed her. She was going to take it to her grave. Now that she knows that people are actually interested in her tale and are not just making fun of her, she plans on writing memoirs or something. When asked about pictures, according to “beforeItsNews” she said she had them, but is not willing to give them up. She said (quote from aforementioned site), “Oh you rascal, the only reason I wanted to tell you my story is to show the world these animals are beautiful creatures. But I would never, ever, betray my best friends. I have given you a story. Tell it. That’s all. Only another person besides you knows my secret now, my friend Maggie who contacted you about it.”
