Cryptids of Pennsylvania

Posted by: Nick Redfern on October 7th, 2012

Just received a review copy of this new book from Andrew Gable, The Mystery Animals of Pennsylvania, published by CFZ Press.

About the author we’re told:

“Andrew D. Gable is, basically, just a regular guy from Pennsylvania who’s had an interest in all things monstrous and supernatural since a very early age, probably fueled by living near a cemetery and watching a generous helping of B-rate horror movies on Saturday afternoons. Author of a few articles on various cryptozoological topics for a small-press but well-regarded magazine (The Cryptozoology Review) some friends put together, in recent years he’s limited his focus to the eastern United States, an area which he’s found to still be particularly active. Other, non-Fortean (gasp!) interests include mythology and folklore, H.P. Lovecraft, “Ripperology,” Godzilla, roleplaying games, and listening to, generally, any music I feel like.”

I’ll be doing a big review of the book as soon as I’ve read it.

When’s the last time – or first – that someone sighted a gorilla roaming the Keystone State? ‘Cause, y’know, that IS a gorilla on the cover!
