Alaskan Cadborosaurus Footage Update

Posted by: John Kirk on May 20th, 2011

ogopo2011 has indeed spoken to the people that were involved in the shooting of the video as noted yesterday here at Cryptomundo. His info is accurate insofar as the name of the son is concerned and the letter the last name starts with.

I just worked with the son of the father, who were both on their fishing boat and video’ed the big caddys and the little caddys.

He told me that the big ones (2) were about 40 feet long and had necks about a foot and a half to 2 feet thick with a head shaped like “the front/cockpit of a 747″, the skin was dark grey, black, and the juveniles were about 8 feet long.

He and his dad were apprehensive about getting closer to the adults because they were so big and muscular, powerful. As big, if not bigger than their boat.

Anyhow, Discovery paid them $75,000 for the video.

Loren, their last name starts with an N, the son’s first name is Kyle, so you know I am telling the truth.

Kyle told me he NEVER believed in these things before, but sure does now… ogopo2011

The estimate of 40 feet long seems a bit long for what Paul Leblond and I saw in the video. I was not there like the witness was, but I have a hard time accepting the 40 foot length. It was more like twenty feet at most, but then again I wasn’t standing on the deck of the ship from which the video was taken.

Like ogopo2011 says there are indeed little animals and larger ones.

I am just so disappointed that it is taking an eon to get this footage to our TV screens. I suggest readers write to Discovery Channel and tell them to show as much of the footage as they have and to show the original enhancements made by the guy who shot the footage.

Come on people get typing.

Ditto done. The size of the caddys would be interesting to parse if and when the video airs. I was curious why something 40 feet long would run from (supposedly) belugas, who would be more like, what 15 feet? It reminds one of the age-old question: What happens when that dog finally catches a car?

As belugas are primarily fish eaters, were they chasing them just for sport?

Are they known to pack-hunt large prey?

  2. Macleod responds:

Done and done. I CANNOT wait to see this footage, if it is as clear as the people that have seen it say than i will be very excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really hope it does not dissapoint, if we ever see it that is….

  3. Mibs responds:

In lieu of not having the video footage to review, is it possible for ogopo2011 to get a basic drawing of the witness descriptions as they remember them? The description from ogopo sounds vague and confusing, especially the part about heads being shaped like 747 Aircraft cockpits. That goes against the generally accepted description of Caddy based on the dozens of eyewitness accounts (horse/camel/moose-like head) featured on the various Cryptozoology TV programs, articles, and websites that discuss the cryptid.

  4. TomN responds:

Maybe the beluga were protecting young? As for the delay in Discovery showing the footage: If they have proof-positive film of the animals existence then they’d likely want to send a team to get additional, extensive and professional footage as well as some physical evidence. Let’s hope that’s the reason!

  5. Richard888 responds:

Ooh pooh! Snail mail is so difficult! I haven’t done it in 15 years or so.

  6. sasquatch responds:

Well, I think timing is everything- in TV-ratings rule! They need to figure out a way(s) to optimize the viewership for the program (unless they WANT to keep it under wraps- living dinos are not friendly to evolutionary theory).

Well, whatever the reason(s) I too want to see this footage.

  7. TimmyRyan65 responds:

I have Tweeted and posted on Facebook to both the Discovery Channel and the Deadliest Catch. I bet most people don’t even know this footage exists.

  8. manticora responds:

Until now is there known any positive reaction from the Discovery Channel? Some one must have written to the DC before this appeal or…? Has anyone from Discovery Channel ever approved that Discovery Channel have this footage??

  9. odioustrident responds:

I would love to know just how serrated these backs are.

  10. thegsmiths4 responds:

One thing that makes me suspicious is the price Discovery supposedly paid for the video. Only $75,000? If it is as good as they say, surely it is worth much, much more.

If I had such a video I would never sell it. I would sell Discovery an exclusive right to air the film for a period of time, but never sell it.

That they released all rights for only $75,000 smells funny. But then again, I’ve never had such a video so there are probably circumstances I am unaware of.

  11. skycaptain responds:

It has been a year since we first learned of this footage. It clearly isn’t going to be shown by Discovery, or anyone else. I suspect that it has either failed to pass close scrutiny as a potential fake, or Discovery is wary of being pilloried by the ‘scientific’ community who have already made up their minds that such creatures don’t exist. Even if it is dramatic and real as has been claimed, there would have been enough pressure applied by those in the scientific community, who have a vested interest in the staus quo, to make Discovery think twice about showing it. After all if this is proved real the scientific community may have to re-consder Bigfoot and a host of other cryptids which will make a lot of people with powerful vested interests feel very uncomfortable indeed. Besides if it really was that ‘hot’ it would by now of leaked onto the Internet in one form or another…and, so far, there is nothing.
