Cryptotrip

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on October 18th, 2012

This past Saturday, I attended the Eerie Horror Film Festival, at the historical Warner Theater with the sole intent of seeing Cryptotrip by Christopher Maloney.

The Warner Theater bears the name of the world-famous Warner Bros. who commissioned it to be built in 1929; it opened in 1931.

The Warner Theater is an Art Deco and French Renaissance-styled theater located in downtown Erie, Pennsylvania in the United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

I took these pics while sitting in the theater. If orbs really are spirits or balls of energy, there are many deceased actors and actresses still hanging around!

I sat through a Korean short film titled Lizard Girl..that was crazy. It surely made a movie about Cryptid hunters completely acceptable!

I instantly recognized the location of the first scene, the upper floor of the Salt Fork Lodge during Creature Weekend. Chris captured a lot of footage there then commenced from there to The International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

His journey covered cryptids from Bigfoot, to Mothman and he traveled from Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon touching on cryptids and researchers who we have all become familiar with.

The documentary was thoughtful and respectful and more of a tribute to the people who put in the time and effort to investigate the unknown animals in our world.

If you would like to contact Chris about a copy of his documentary, email him at: maloney_christopher@yahoo.com
