Adam Davies Recovering

Posted by: Loren Coleman on October 8th, 2009

Adam Davies, Orang Pendek expedition leader, sends along this message:

“Hi Loren. I have just got out of hospital, and am recovering at home from the dysentery-like condition the jungle caught me with. I am pumped full of antibiotics, but I will make a full recovery fairly soon. I have taken the opportunity to read Cryptomundo, and I want to thank everyone who sent messages wishing me well. It really cheered me up!”

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

  9. fossilhunter responds:

    Greetings Adam!
Apa kabar? Watch out for those Indonesian bugs!! I (and 27 friends) got an internal bug just before leaving Indonesia in 1979. Yikes. I spent the first two and a half months I was back (start of my Senior year in High School) with a mental map of where the nearest bathrooms were!
Salamat pagi! (and salamat jalan, as appropriate!)

  10. norman-uk responds:

Pleased to learn you are on the mend Adam, This is your third hazard that I am aware of including tigers, earthquakes.

With others from earlier expeditions would make a good computer game. Keep smiling, you are a volunteer!

They had mentiond it was an unknown strain, so who knows, maybe he did get some shots, course they would’nt have been so effective if it was UNKNOWN.
