It looks like it will be interesting, though the skeptic in me thinks they’re going to find a bunch of escaped chimps. Katrina and folks releasing pets helped add primates to the wildlife population of Florida. Even if the authorities claim they’re very big squirrels.

On that note, why not look into Swamp and Marco Island area, I thought that was the supposed skunk ape hot spot. Just curious. I’d be interested in that area due to the historical sightings that go back to the 18th century, or is it the 19th? Please correct me if I am wrong here, I’m not sure what the date is.

  2. korollocke responds:

Will be interesting too learn how and what they (the production crew) stage and recreate for all the “juicy bits” and who gets “face time and credit” for the “finds” they didn’t “find” themselves, but someone else actually found.

Maybe they’ll find prints of a one legged hopping swamp ape that only leaves right prints like the one legged hopping bigfoot in Georgia? Anyone ever get the distance measured between the two so call foot prints to determine the length of the hop/stride? How about the depth of the prints in regards to height & weight vs the firmness/softness of the soil where the were “discovered”?

  3. Kahil responds:

Hrmmm…knowing that they fake evidence…not sure I will be tuning in to the show anymore. At this point if I have to choose between watching Finding Bigfoot or watching Jerseylicious….I’ll prolly watch Jerseylicious…lol

  4. Budman030 responds:

Well after finding out about their enhancements , and reading Moneymakers posts , this show has lost all credibility, with me . I will no longer watch this show….

  5. tropicalwolf responds:

Hot on the heels of recent posts regarding, “you are who you associate with,” now Cryptomundo is posting the schedule for a TV show that is known to fake evidence??? Do we learn nothing from our other discussions?

  6. Loren Coleman responds:

Cryptomundo is a news and commentary site. It would be foolish for this blog to ignore cryptozoology and hominology programming that is being televised due to opinions similar to those as expressed by “tropicalwolf.”

People are expressing naive insights, of course, if it is thought that creating imagery and re-creating scenes only occurs on Animal Planet. (It is most appropriate to label it as such.) Folks, I taught a documentary film university course for two decades. I would always start by deconstructing how the world’s first claimed documentary Nanook of the North was filled with false shoots, recreated interactions, created scenes, and more, all of which today would be called docudrama and narrative fiction footage.

  7. korollocke responds:

I thought INGAGI (google it)was the worlds first hoax film/docudrama (if not it’s the first crypto docudrama)? At the time of it’s release it was billed as 100% real. You know the one that promised gorillas mated with tribal ladies deep in the African jungle (redefines the words Banana Split) and the resulting offspring? It is still the most financially successful film of all time (it sold more tickets than Gone With the Wind!) it was so lurid and taboo, people just had to see it! The success of INGAGI led to King Kong being produced by RKO.
