“Completely Human” Bigfoot Revisited

Will big news come out of Ohio in the next 24 hours?

Today, Saturday, May 17, 2008, in Ohio, M. K. Davis gives one of his first public lectures in years. Perhaps someone will ask about his November 26, 2006, press release:

Patterson Bigfoot film subject has been identified as a human.

News Archive > 2006 > Nov > 26

Famous piece of film footage that is considered to be the number one evidence for the existance of Bigfoot, has had its subject identified to be a human being.

For_Immediate_Release:

November 26, 2006 (Press Release) — After working on the famous footage for nearly ten years, researcher M.K.Davis has identified the subject of the famous film to be completely human. Not a man in a suit, but a human in the wild. “Everything on the film can be explained”,says Davis. Using the famous piece of footage, Davis says that he can explain all the unusual features of the subject as that of a human being. Davis says that he expects to produce the evidence soon that will completely explain this mysterious film. “This is not something that I was expecting when I started this project” says Davis. But I was prepared to go where the research took me.”

Roger Patterson Film Frame Drawing Comparison

“The word is out! Yes we are saying Bigfoot is human, and we think we have proved it….Everyone said it was an ape or creature or something else. No, it’s a human being of some sort. A very large human at that. It could be one of the oldest races in existence. Clues are in the movie…You be the judge. Man in a suit – Miocene ape – no way!” – Pat Holdbrook, November 2006.

Roger Patterson

“All the images and explanations will be in Holdbrook’s movie. I will be glad to preview with anyone the images, if they are willing to come to me to see them as I do not think it proper to release them to the internet with Holdbrook’s film not yet finished.” – M. K. Davis, November 2006.

“The movie that Pat is making will contain the images and explanations….I’m no circus barker.” – M. K. Davis, November 2006.

Mawas

Remember, the context of the M. K. Davis “claims” followed hot on the heels of promised groundbreaking photographs of the so-called “Johor Bigfoot,” which were going to rewrite history. Those photos turned out to be plates of images from a documentary that used humans with sfx makeup to portray Homo erectus and other prehistoric hominoids.

But for months, quotes from Malaysia were heard that were hauntingly similar to ones that would come in the wake of the Davis claims.

“Asking to see the photographs is like asking for Angelina Jolie’s unpublished baby photos. You have to be patient like the rest.” – Sean Ang, July 2006.

“We will release photos of Bigfoot in a book that will be launched soon.” – Vincent Chow, August 2006.

First uttered in 2006, what are to make of the above noted Holdbrook and Davis quotations today? What will the M. K. Davis appearance in Ohio today bring forth, as far as convincing visuals?

Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. I believe the footage shows the BF to be robotic in nature. It is a robot covered in human hair. I believe the caucasoid features to be actually a reflection off the metalic parts that are covered by hair, giving the caucasoid appearance. I will have the proof in about two years. But first, I have to get my book out and movie credits ready. Afterall, I must market this quickly to gain full economic advantage before the naysayers disprove my flimsy theory. In the meantime, I will extend the release of my evidence until 2012 before the BF community can review it and critique it. Also, I will leak certain tidbits of information to keep the hype around my theory a point of interest.

Just kidding! But this analogy is quite close to what has happened here.

I was going to wait and be objective as I had suggested in previous posts. But now, I just don’t care. We all saw the video or various versions of the video. There is nothing more definitive than we can already gain from viewing that footage, enhanced or not. With my digital manipulation abilities, I could enhance that video to show what I wanted to show, and then just say it was enhanced. I could put eyeglasses on the creature depicted in that video if I biasedly edited it to show that. Pixels are pixels. The video is what it is.

Sorry for the sarcasm! But geesh, this is ridiculous. I don’t see a stick or any remnants of a stick. I see no braiding in the hair unless I squint, take a shot of vodka and play in Photoshop. I don’t see definitive caucasoid features or signs. I do not see a baby BigFoot or a male BigFoot hiding in ambush behind a tree. I don’t see any of these things no matter how much I squint and imagine. But I sure could digitally manipulate them into any still to prove my point. And if you give me four years, I might convince of few of you of the same.

Whatever! Announce it in Ohio or don’t. Either way, like most, I am done with the waiting and looking for new, improved, and more convincing BigFoot footage. By the time Mr. Davis announces and explains his findings, better quality footage will be available. We might even have conclusive DNA evidence by the time that happens. I am not holding my breath.

Anyway, good luck to those willling to stick around long enough to hear the explanation. For me, I am off to more recent and concrete evidence. Sorry for my cynicism, but I have just had my fill of promises.

Nice marketing and coincidental timing though! I’m over it. I’m off to promote my robotic theory.

  2. eireman responds:

PhotoExpert is completely on the mark here. Furthermore, as one continues to manipulate the data in a digital image, the threat of artefacts increases. Taking a grainy old film, digitizing it, pushing the values to the limits… You’re just asking for trouble.

  3. graybear responds:

PhotoExpert; I’m glad someone else is now cognizant of the true robotic nature of the BigFootus Mechanicus species. It’s really too bad that your book (a treasure, I’m sure) won’t be out until 2012. 2012 is, of course, the year that the world will end, according to the infallible Mayan calendar. What no one else realizes is that this will be the year that Bigfootus Mechanicus will thunder out of their hidden bio-factory in the Sylvanic and end the world using the Israeli secret weapon, the Lost Ark.
Gonna be a busy 4 years. All that waiting can really pile up.

  4. sschaper responds:

That image looks like a -very- amateurish photoshop job – or even paintshop. Even -I- could do that.

  5. PhotoExpert responds:

eireman–That was exactly the point I was trying to make. I see that you get the point of my post. I hope others understand as well as you do. I hope they will not be “hoodwinked” in any by the limits of digital manipulation and statements being made about things that are not in the PG footage. I think your point about asking for trouble is exactly what is happening here. Thanks for the backup!

graybear–LOL I have always liked your posts! Your wit, sarcasm, and dry sense of humor keep me going in some of these threads. I was really laughing out loud when you referred to the book as ” a treasure, I’m sure”. And that is exactly the same way I feel about Mr. Davis’ soon to released evidence. Isn’t that coincidental that when making the analogy, that the robotic BF theory won’t be coming out on my part until 2012? Coincidence? No, I am actually counting on the world ending then so no one will laugh when I disclose the evidence fully. But it is a good way to string people along for four years without giving up any information. I see you have done your reading on Mayan culture and the significance of the year 2012. I am going to honor you graybear by name my book after your coined phrase “BigFootus Mechanicus”. My book on my theories of the robotic BigFoot will be titled, “Bigfoot Mechanicus 2012”. I might have you help me and write the forward or a chapter on the significance of 2012. Psst, we can say whatever we want because the world will end and we won’t even have to disclose our shoddy evidence! LOL

Have a great day all! I’m off to the Preakness!

  6. CamperGuy responds:

PhotoExpert……you left out one very important detail about Bigfootus Mechanicus. The creators are not human but otter scientists. They have designed Bigfootus Mechanicus to be modular. The arms, legs, head, feet, etc. will completely come off the main body and remain ambulatory. Being modular is the key to how Bigfootus Mechanicus can seem to appear and disappear.
Looking forward to your book. 🙂

  7. stranger responds:

Let’s face it, clearly these guys have a dilemma to work out. There is no way you can conclusively prove humanity from the film itself. Logically, they have used a clue from the footage to locate “her” in person(?).

The problem – maybe Mr. Bigfoot is the jealous type. They release the evidence to great accolades, only to be hunted down by an enraged Sasquatch, who pops up like a ninja and rips their heads off. Now that will give you pause!

  8. graybear responds:

/).Camperguy; Otter scientists. Of course. And Nessie is in charge of security (who better?). Thanks much for pointing out that oversight.

  9. CamperGuy responds:

graybear….I wondered who was in charge of security. I tall makes sense now. 🙂

Previously thought I’d add to the fun while we waited to see if anything was forthcoming. Late afternoon here and I see no reports of anything surprising or anything else for that matter.

What time is the speaking engagement? Later maybe?

  10. airforce47 responds:

We should remember one thing. Professor Loren Coleman firmly believes the species is other than Giganto. There are some valid scientific arguements to support his hypothesis as he has posted before.

I tend to agree with Loren but I feel we must wait for confirming DNA and other acceptable forensic evidence. Professor Meldrum got part of that evidence for the History Channel with the board screws. However, that evidence must be subject to intrepretation or we would see it presented as evidence for the discovery of a new species.

It may very well turn out that Marlon Davis is right. We just don’t know yet and I’m not going to jump on anybody’s band wagon until we have that evidence. Just MHO and my best to all,

    Larry Lesh

  11. MattBille responds:

OK, this is the opinion of one guy (me) who does not know Davis. The sequence of “announce and hide, then announce again” events makes it all much too suspicious. My opinion is that we are NEVER going to see definitive new evidence from this source. And we are not going to see important new evidence from the P-G film from anyone because there’s nothing useful that can be done with it that has not already been done.
Do I hope I’m wrong? Certainly. But I’d be shocked. Better to forget the whole bizarre matter ever occurred.

  12. SOCALcryptid responds:

A lot of funny comments above. You all have a good sense of humor. That said, we should call this new species Homo Squatch and be done with it. That is if there is proof of this creature being a type of human.

  13. DWA responds:

I’m afraid MK Davis is gonna keep going until he undoes, and then some ten times over, all the good he’s done.

Can somebody talk to this guy?

PLEASE, SOMEBODY, prove Pattyfake so we can move on to the real evidence. All of the idiocy that surrounds P/G has poisoned it as evidence.

(And next time I watch it I’ll change my mind. Again. 😉 )

  14. Judy Green responds:

I am happy to see this brought to the forefront again as I wondered why it just completely disappeared. I hope there is a conclusion of some sort this time.

  15. kittenz responds:

Somehow this entire sequence of nonevents reminds me of the fable of The Boy Who Cried Wolf

  16. Pibroch responds:

This is balderdash. Neither MK Davis nor Wildphotographer at Grendel Films have been able to come up with anything beyond fanciful suggestions and pseudo-Rohrshach posturings to make the ‘evidence’ suit their findings.

Grendel Films have now ceased any participation in any further Bigfoot-related projects, and Davis has, it seems, nothing to say.

In other words, they hit the brick wall called reality, it hurt, and they’ve given up trying. Which is a source of some relief for those of us growing sick of their masonic, cliquish claims.

  17. CamperGuy responds:

The day after and no news…………..

Methingks the ones who expressed their skepticism and were told “just wait unil Saturday’…and mildy chastised for not giving the benefiet of the doubt in previous associated blogs are owed an explanation and an apology.

I didn’t express skepticism since I take a wait and see attitude. Still waiting 🙂 Others correctly did so.

The boy cried wolf but alas it turned out to be an otter.

  18. DWA responds:

eireman says: “Furthermore, as one continues to manipulate the data in a digital image, the threat of artefacts increases. Taking a grainy old film, digitizing it, pushing the values to the limits… You’re just asking for trouble. …”

No kidding. The fetishization of evidence, taken to its (quite illogical) extreme.

People. We may be able to do stuff to a photo, or a film, that never could be done before.

Anybody ever consider that that might be the problem?

I hate sounding like a broken record (old technology; let’s iPod it and see how much better we can make it!!!!) here.

But. Nothing will replace good old-fashioned field research in confirming – by finding her buddies – that Patty is the real thing. We need to stop inhaling footprint-cast and film fumes. We have enough evidence – way more than enough, way more than we have had for any other species before its confirmation – to get started, right now.

There is only so much that can be gotten from a film. And we had it, forty years ago.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
