Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

I knew it! All along I just knew it 🙂

  2. mantis responds:

That’s clearly just someone in a costume.

  3. greywolf responds:

Some people have to much time on there hands and no brain to make them work.

  4. sausage1 responds:

Magnifique! Tres, tres drole! Pur Python!

The Lincoln ‘patty’ clip is hilarious, and the bit where the expert talks about a lack of leadership as he leans back to reveal a photo of Dubya is wicked!

  5. Ceroill responds:

Otter in a tall hat. Obviously.

  6. Rillo777 responds:

I have to disagree with the creators of this project. I believe they have mistaken the rather common Grover Cleveland for the obviously impossible Lincoln. The Cleveland appears malnourished and mangy, poor thing. Of course they can believe whatever they want but I don’t think there’s any mystery here.

  7. goochcamper responds:

finally on here someone brings up the lincoln monster that i see and hear in my dreams. its about time that this has its own clickable link on the side bar of cryptomundo.

i’m glad loren is finally coming around to this cryptozoology factoid and will hopefully have a book out in the times coming.

  8. plant girl responds:

This just made my day. just like a Clint Eastwood movie. Thankyou!

  9. cor2879 responds:

It’s fairly obvious to me that what people are seeing and mistakenly identifying as “Lincoln” is, in fact, a bigfoot with mange. And a tall hat.

  10. MattBille responds:

Lincoln must have heard a few strange animal stories (or at least tall tales) in his years of farming and flatboating in what was still a sparsely settled region of the country. I’ve not run across any accounts of him telling them, though.
