We Still Have Not Received Bigfoot Body!
Sometimes communication moves slowly. Although I asked for an official copy of the press release some time ago, just today, August 21, 2006, I received the apparently well-hidden url location of the document from Breanna Bishop, the Public Information Coordinator at The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Here is a copy of the full, unedited text of their document:
School of Mines Bigfoot Rumors False — Released August 9, 2006
Contrary to online reports, the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology has not been in receipt of the body of Bigfoot.
According to a report appearing on a number of blogs, Bigfoot was shot and killed Tuesday, August 1, on the Pine Ridge Reservation. After a smudging ceremony, the body was allegedly transported to a School of Mines laboratory for studies.
Despite receiving nearly $14 million in research and development funding in the 2006 fiscal year and having a wide array of cutting-edge research initiatives, the School of Mines has no facilities dedicated to Bigfoot or other cryptozoology research.

Questions I would have asked at the press conference that never happened: Why is this document so well-hidden? Why only seven visitors? What was modified before this was sent to Cryptomundo? If someone can say they are "not in receipt of the body of Bigfoot" does that mean the School of Mines and Technology may be anticipating the body still being delivered some day soon? Is there a coverup? Can you release drawings of the Bigfoot body you have not received yet?
Submissions of anyone’s sketches of the Pine Ridge Bigfoot body that has not been received yet will be appreciated by me, here at Cryptomundo.
Okay, since they wish to have fun with this, I am too, and I’m kidding about any talk of cover-up.
Again, as I wrote on August 7th, before the above press release was released: "From speaking with people in the midst of the Pine Ridge situation, it appears clear that placing a rumor out there that a Bigfoot had been killed may have been someone’s idea of a joke. People there feel it is false."
There is real work to do on the larger investigation of the actual Bigfoot sightings at Pine Ridge. I think something may be out there, and we need eyewitness accounts, actual drawings, captured thermal imaging, plaster casts, and good photographs/videos.
