Are you a reader of Cryptomundo living in Texas? In San Antonio or nearby?

I need a bit of archival research in your area. Or maybe an on-site investigation.

I am trying to obtain some overview photographs of Tom Slick’s San Antonio home, designed by architect O’Neil Ford. We are working on a display about it at the museum, and need more complete imagery. (Do not do anything illegal nor trespass. I am looking for public records, first. Thank you!)

If you have any luck or know where I may turn, please email me at lcoleman [@] maine.rr.com (remove brackets to contact me).

Thank you.

Below are the two known published photographs of the house.

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

Sorry. Wish I could help, but I live a very good ways from San Antonio and have no way of getting there now.

    Loren,

Hey! I remember about 5 or so years ago, I was able to get an aerial view of my neighborhood on Google, I think Google Maps. There were a couple of ways to view the exact location. I think it was the “Satellite View” that we employed. You could actually zoom in on individual houses. They were pretty detailed shots. Of course you would have to have the actual geographical address which I am assuming that you already have in your possession.

Try that! I don’t know if they still have it but it’s worth a try from a chair in front of your computer. I hope that helps! Let me know how it turns out for you.

  3. Joxman responds:

    Good starting point PhotoExpert 🙂

    C’mon Texans help Loren out.

I’m in the Austin area. I’m in the San Antonio area occasionally for work, but I don’t know when I will be down there any time soon. However, if you can give me a location, I’ll try when I am down there next.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
