Yes, Tyler & Watertown But NOT Indiana

Posted by: Loren Coleman on September 23rd, 2009

I’ll soon be in Tyler, a city in Texas named for President John Tyler in recognition of his support for Texas’s admission to the United States, but the organizers have cancelled the conference in the state of Indiana, the state where the Battle of Tippecanoe took place.

Craig will be in Tyler too. Lots of other folks, actually. On September 26, 2009, I’ll be speaking at the Texas Bigfoot Conference in Tyler, Texas, visiting new & old friends. I look forward to it.

The American Paranormal Conference 2009, October 9-11, 2009, at the Scottish Rite Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been cancelled due to lack of ticket sales. This is unfortunate as I was hoping to meet some folks who have been involved in cryptozoology in the Midwest there, and sell a few books to help the museum fund. I’ll just have to work a little harder. It’s not like the museum hasn’t lived on the edge all these years.

Still on is my appearance in Watertown, Massachusetts, for the Mass Monster Mash, October 17th, 2009, in a Hibernian Hall.

For more information on that weekend events, go here. I will be speaking about the “Search for Yeti by Tom Slick.”

Next after that…the grand opening of the International Cryptozoology Museum.

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
