It’s one of those critters that will just not go away – or, rather, debate concerning it refuses to go away.
What is it? The Dover Demon, of course!
And it’s debated and analyzed by Tony Morrill in a new post at his blog.
Genuine cryptid? Mistaken Identity? A baby moose, even?
Whatever the answer, the likelihood is that, today, decades later, we’ll never have it resolved to the satisfaction of everyone. But, it’s an undeniable classic, that’s for sure.
