Paper Dolls @ Eerie Horror Fest

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on October 17th, 2012

Last weekend I attended the screening of Paper Dolls by Badfritter Films.

Paper Dolls is a terrifying psychological thriller set near the beautiful landscape of Glacier National Park, Montana. Two high school friends, Travis and Nate, are on a road trip to Canada when they’re attacked by mysterious and vicious creatures. Nate is stolen into the woods and Travis will stop at nothing to get him back. Travis recruits Nate’s older brother Chris to bring an arsenal and wage war against these monsters in an effort to retrieve Nate. But after Travis reports the attack to the local constable, the story turns when Travis’s journal is read aloud revealing that Travis has suspected Nate of seducing his high school sweetheart. Was there really an attack or was Travis a serial killer?

As far as Bigfoot movies go, this one was phenomenal! The script was well written, the story line was consistent and the acting was great!

I just received an update from Adam Pitman and he says: “Hi Sharon Lee, So glad you enjoyed the film. There must have been a misunderstanding in our discussion, which is Good News! Paper Dolls is still being considered for distribution and is in fact closer to a deal today than it has ever been! We have never made a 35mm print, but it is still a possibility (if in fact the film is still intact) and worst case scenario, it will be the version you saw at Eerie. (Which ain’t so bad!) So we are actively pursuing distribution with this film and have no doubt it will be coming to a NetFlix near you very soon!”

In 2008 Paper Dolls won the Stiffy award at the Seattle True Independent Film Festival for The Best Sasquatch Movie. They also won the Horror Genre Award at Shockerfest in 2008.

Um, might I suggest removing the last two sentences of your first paragraph??? Nothing like giving away what should be a surprise twist!!!

But anyway, I was at Eerie Horror Fest too, and Paper Dolls is awesome. I have not seen a good Sasquatch movie. Never. Never one that was truly creepy and scary, the way I used to get creeped out about Bigfoot when I was little…!

    UNTIL NOW.

Paper Dolls is a really well written, produced and acted film, and it is downright scary in a few places. Even when it is not being scary, the good ol’ story takes over and keeps it really interesting.

These BadFritter guys are the real deal and I hope they make it big on the strength of this film.

This is not a traditional Sasquatch concept, but it works just as well, maybe even better. You’ll see what I mean if you watch the movie. Check it out on YouTube while its still available. It is FAR BETTER than half the pathetic crap that makes the ScyFy channel millions of dollars!

    Good Job, Bad Fritters!
