Wasn’t it just two days ago that I was talking about a Bigfoot movie that got past me and was already available on DVD?

Didn’t I say that I thought that there were many more such films out there?

Well, I was right, there are.

Film maker Justin Buettner has just such a Bigfoot movie called, “Sawtooth”, which was filmed in the ‘first-person’ style made famous in such films as “Cloverfield” and “The Blair Witch Project”.

Though, Buettner notes that his film predates “Cloverfield” and is more of a ‘coming-of-age’ film, than a monster movie.

“The tone of the film mirrors “Stand By Me” more than the traditional horror movies and mixes comedy, drama, and adventure with the scenes of horror. It is about three teenagers search for Bigfoot in the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, and of course they are successful in finding them.”

Sounds like more substance than your typical Sasquatch rampage flick.

At this time Buettner is selling “Sawtooth” on DVD through his website, but the film maker says that he is still open to distribution offers.

For more info on “Sawtooth” you can visit the movies official website, Facebook page and Myspace page.
