Now that Hammer has virtually guaranteed a future avalanche of Yeti knock-off pictures with their announcing of their big-budget remake of their classic Abby Snowman picture, I wonder: how long ’til Toho slates a remake of ‘Half-Human’?

Never say never, BUT… I can see Disney remaking ‘Song of the South’ faster than I can see Toho trotting out cgi ‘Half Human.’

One Response to “Toho to Follow Hammer’s Lead?”

  1. Mark Jaramillo responds:

Toho hasn’t seemed too interested in making any new kaiju films since they put Godzilla on hiatus in 2004. Unless the upcoming Legendary film completely tanks, I don’t see them returning to the genre for a while. Certainly not by remaking one of their lesser-known efforts.
