Exclusive DVDetails and art: Eric Roberts and Linnea Quigley in “BIGFOOT VS. D.B. COOPER”
With so many creature species battling each other across the screen, it’s inevitable that a mythological beast would take on a legendary criminal. BIGFOOT VS. D.B. COOPER is coming, and we’ve got the exclusive DVD release info plus the cover art.
For those readers too young to remember, D.B. Cooper was a hijacker who commandeered a 727 jet over the Pacific Northwest in November 1971, parachuted from the plane with $200,000 in ransom money and was never seen again. Countless theories have been raised about what happened to Cooper, and filmmaker David DeCoteau has his own idea: “I remember the evening when D.B. Cooper leaped from that plane,” he tells Fango. “I was 9 years old and living with my family in Portland, Oregon, where Cooper boarded it. It was all over the local news. Even at a young age, I knew it would be near-impossible for anyone to survive that jump—at night, during a rainstorm. I knew the area of Washington State where the FBI thought he could have landed. It is so remote and dangerous that if the jump didn’t kill D.B., then maybe something else did. BIGFOOT VS. D.B. COOPER is my theory of what actually happened to the hijacker.”
In the movie, a group of young hunters find that out first-hand when they travel to a secluded lodge and are stalked by a Sasquatch. BIGFOOT VS. D.B. COOPER stars Eric Roberts, Linnea Quigley, Terence Rotolo, Jordan Rodriguez, Kyle George, Liam Watkins, Keith Metcalf, Adam Graff and D.J. Aiken, and streets June 10 from DeCoteau’s Rapid Heart Pictures. The DVD will include a 16×9-enhanced widescreen transfer and commentary by DeCoteau; retail price is $14.98.
