Remembrance Day for Lost Species

Not only is today the Remembrance Day for Lost Species, but this year also marked the 80th anniversary of the death of the last known Tasmanian Tiger in captivity, Benjamin.

Remembrance Day for Lost Species – November 30th every year – is a chance to learn and tell the stories of lost and disappearing species, and to renew commitments to those remaining. Anyone can participate with any kind of species memorial event or activity.
