TBRC Unveils New Website

After much anticipation and several false starts, with initial planning going back to late 2006, the Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy (TBRC) proudly unveiled its new website, on February 23, 2008. The site was developed by Ideapark of Minneapolis, Minnesota, along with the TBRC Web Committee (Craig Woolheater, Daryl Colyer, Alton Higgins, Chris Buntenbah and Gino Napoli).

“We came up with this design,” Craig Woolheater said, “as we sought to convey a clean, professional and mainstream appearance to tie in with the group’s non-profit status and no-nonsense approach to research.”

There is still more web development in store for the TBRC, as the public site was considered to be “Stage One.” A versatile, “behind-the-curtain” data management system, or IRA (Incident Reports Administration) is now being developed and its completion will be considered “Stage Two” of the entire process. The early stages of IRA are have already been implemented.

Even though the site appears at first glance to be completed, the Web Committee and Ideapark continue to work hard behind the scenes to merge, standardize and map old report data from the previous site into the new site.

Completion of Stage Two is anticipated by the end of 2008.
