American Offers $50,000 For Johor Cast

Cryptomundo correspondent and Malaysia Star reporter Marsha Tan has been kind enough to send along her latest Johor Bigfoot article to be shared here. If anyone knows the identities of the (1) American “Bigfoot researcher” or (2) the “museum owner” who are behind the offers to either trade casts (yeah, right the Seekers are going to take up that one) or the $50,000 payment for the cast, we’d like to hear from you.

RM185,000 offered for Bigfoot ‘print’

Johor Baru: A private museum owner in the United States has offered US$50,000 (RM185,000) for the cast of what the Paranormal Seekers Malaysia (Seekers) claims to be Bigfoot’s footprint.

Seekers had auctioned the cast, which was made during an expedition to Kota Tinggi in February last year, in eBay Malaysia with a starting bid of RM100,000.

But there were no takers when the auction ended last Wednesday.

There were, however, interested parties from the United States, which included the private museum owner and a Bigfoot researcher.

Seekers founder Syed Abdullah Al-Attas told The Star the private museum owner offered US$50,000 for the cast while the researcher offered to trade a few of his Bigfoot casts for the one Seekers had.

“We will leave the offer open until the end of the year to see the highest offer.

“If possible, we would like a Malaysian body – be it a foundation or a museum – to buy the cast because this is the only one we have and we hope it can stay here,” he said.

Asked why Seekers wanted to auction off a priceless item, Syed Abdullah said the group had no choice, having exhausted all its funds in its two years of operation.

“We need equipment and material for our paranormal investigations and research but we have no funding nor aid from the Government.

“Therefore, we are forced to put the cast up for sale,” said the 40-year-old Syed Abdullah, who is the chief investigator of the group based in Kuala Lumpur.

Asked why the group had not made more casts during the expedition, he said they did not bring enough material.

He said Seekers, along with three other paranormal investigating groups, found 10 possible Bigfoot footprints.

“However, we only have enough material to make one cast, or else, trust me, we would have made 10 there and then.

“If we successfully find funding for future expeditions, I guarantee that we will go to Kota Tinggi again to continue our research.”
