Southern Fried Bigfoot

Southern Fried Bigfoot

Coming to a DVD, hopefully during 2007, Sean Whitley’s documentary, Southern Fried Bigfoot will showcase his several years journey collecting footage about a distinct type of unknown hairy hominoids. Whitley wanted to clarify some recent comments found in a press interview on Chester Moore noted on Cryptomundo, in which a reader might get the idea that Moore was the individual "completing" this film.

Sean Whitley, writer/director of Southern Fried Bigfoot (SFB), wishes to share the following…:

To set the record straight about Southern Fried Bigfoot for Cryptomundo: Chester Moore, like Craig Woolheater and Loren Coleman, has been a part of the documentary since its early days. He has never claimed to have been involved in SFB in any other capacity aside from being one of the documentary’s many interview subjects. Any potential confusion can be resolved by taking a closer look at the new press profile. It’s obviously a matter of the writer cutting and pasting info from an older article/bio on Chester. That article used a relatively confusing choice of words about his involvement in SFB. The older article should have said something along the lines of "Moore has completed his part in the SFB documentary…" (emphasis mine).

The press profile also incorrectly states that Chester’s newest book is "Boogers, Bears, Birds, and Beasts" which was released in 2003. Chester’s published two other books – "In the Dark" and "Bigfoot Lives, Deal With It!" since then. The article on the Freak 13 tour even incorrectly identifies famed movie reviewer Joe Bob Briggs as Joe Rob Riggs. In this age of frequent cut-and-paste Internet journalism, mistakes like this are commonly made. Any confusion is on the part of the writers, and not Chester Moore.

Chester is indeed featured in SFB, along with Loren, Craig, Dr. John Bindernagel, Lee Murphy, Rob Riggs and a host of others. However, for the record, the project was created, produced, written and directed by myself (Sean Whitley). It is copyrighted in addition to being registered with the Writers Guild of America, West.

This project has been a four-year labor of love, and with any luck, will hopefully be finished soon.
