Do you think there is any reason that this often-delayed movies was slotted for Football Super Bowl weekend for release? Is there not much hope this will be the comedy blockbuster it was once forecast to be?

Did you like it? Does it work as humor? How does the search for Bigfoot come off in the film? Inquiring minds want to know.

The plot is about animal enthusiasts who try to help the ratings of their TV reality animal show by searching for Bigfoot. But they are pursuing their “Bigfoot” in South America.

Strange Wilderness

Of course, as noted in this field guide, the South American mountain Ucumar or Ucu look exactly like the boreal forest classic Bigfoot of North America. This is one of the few so-called “Bigfoot” around the world that would mirror the Sasquatch so familiar to American movie-goers.
