On the forthcoming next season of ABC-TV’s “Wife Swap,” a family has been identified as being involved in searching for Bigfoot.
Meet Rob and Tracy Robinson and their son:
Although, by some media, the Robinsons are being promoted as a “Bigfoot family,” technically, they are not members of the unclassified primate species called Bigfoot. The Robinsons, who live in Florida, are actually “Swamp Ape Seekers” or “Skunk Ape Hunters.”
In non-interview messages to Cryptomundo, accompanying the photos, Rob Robinson said, “I believe I gave monster hunting a good representation on the show….For the record, I own all your books and am a really big fan of yours and Cryptomundo. I purchased one of your museum T-shirts, but they wouldn’t let my wife wear it on the show.”
The Robinsons are under a strict contract with ABC, and are not allowed to give interviews before the program airs. Furthermore, this includes web replies and online comments to blogs and forums. Therefore, Rob will not be able to respond to any negative comments or questions written by any readers here, below, not because he doesn’t want to, but because he cannot, by contract.
Robinson had to ask for permission from ABC to have the above photographs published. He did and has obtained clearance to have them shared here, exclusively, via Cryptomundo.
Robert Robinson and his wife Tracy were recommended to the ABC producers by Scott Marlowe, who will earn a $1000 finder’s fee, and who has said he has designated his self-created Pangea Institute to receive the check.
Marlowe, of course, is the individual behind the June 14, 2008’s ill-advised letter to the wrong county’s prosecutor to look into homicide charges for the alleged involvement in the October 20, 1967 (or near that date) alleged murder of one or more Bigfoot at Bluff Creek, California. Or as Marlowe stated in his original missive to the Humboldt County prosecutor, as shown by the “photographic evidence that the person [afflicted with congenital generalized Hypertrichosis (sic)], or possibly persons, so afflicted were shot and killed by others in the Patterson/Gimlin party who remain unnamed by Mr. Gimlin who survives Robert Patterson.”
No murders of any Bigfoot have ever been proven or the coverup of any alleged actions by Gimlin, Green, or Titmus.
Marlowe continued in his email with this: “Having been associated with the analysis work of two of the photographic experts examining the film, Mr. Marlon Davis and redacted by Cryptomundo, I am compelled to contact you to avoid any hint of complicity in failing to inform the authorities of these potentially criminal acts.”
John Green wrote on June 14, 2008: “What idiocy. Anyway, it’s Del Norte County.”
Also, during the final season of MonsterQuest, Scott Marlowe says on his site that he “was asked by Whitewolf Entertainment, the producers for ‘Monster Quest’ on The History Channel, to assist with the production of two new episodes,” specifically the “Killer Bees” and “Piranha.” Marlowe appears in a “Piranha” reenactment as former president, Theodore Roosevelt (seen below).
About Loren Coleman

Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct).
Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015.
Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
