Champ Morphology

These photos were captured on the live webcam at Wesport Marina on the New York side of Lake Champlain. The creature in these photos has a serpentine body. While some eyewitness accounts of Champ describe a large hump moving through the water, it makes you wonder why serpentine creatures are also sighted. Perhaps these are juvenile creatures that have a different body conformation then adults. Dennis Hall of Champ Quest, an active research group during the 80’s & 90’s, took a photo of a serpentine creature in Button Bay. During My own personal sighting in 2012, I saw a large hump about 15 feet in length, dark in color and about 3 foot at the apex. It was not serpentine in shape like the photos shown here.

Oddly enough during our investigation at Lake Champlain in October I filmed an unusual occurrence in the shallows of Button Bay, very similar to the pictures taken at Westport Marina (the same small humps or bumps sticking out of the water). A theory is that Button Bay is home to these juvenile creatures. The reason being that it is a bay which means it is a rather secluded area or a type of nursery for these juveniles to grow until they get large enough to venture into the deep & vast waters of the lake. Here are the photos for a comparison.

Katy Elizabeth About Katy Elizabeth
Katy Elizabeth was born in Warwick, Rhode Island. Katy has been studying the existence of Champ since a child. As one of the youngest and most recent Cryptozoologists, she made her life long dream into reality when she had her own sighting and experiences of this elusive creature on Lake Champlain. It prompted her to start her own non-profit group called “Champ Search”. The group's goal is to study, investigate and prove the existence of unique animals that inhabit New York and Vermont’s beautiful Lake Champlain. She is the author of the books Water Horse Of Lake Champlain and Water Horse Of Lake Champlain II available on amazon.com.
