The goal that is most important to us is to Protect these animals in Lake Champlain. Champ animals since they Echolocate, have a high sense of hearing range therefore.. Blasting ultrasonic sound (not a standard fish finder) or Blasting loud Music into the water is invasive and in our opinion harassment. There is a passive approach.
July 31 of last year we recorded Echolocation of an unknown animal. We did not have to do anything but sit and wait..it is all about patience and spending the time.
Champ is protected by law in both New York and Vermont therefore any harassment in any way, shape or form is against the law.
It is our job to protect these animals and we will make sure they are protected.
