About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct).
Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015.
Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
Ack…Middle of the work day….good thing the boss is off on Friday…
Well, it depends where you work.
😉
Oh yeah!!
I don’t think you’ve reckoned for BST with this broadcast. I’m waiting here!!
Incidentally how long will it be going on for? As I’ll be driving home from work between 5 and 6.
They initially figured on about 30 minutes, but if the response is high, I told them I would be happy to stay on for an hour or more.
It depends on you all, I guess.
🙂
P.S. What is “BST”? I’ll add it to the list of time zones, if I can find it.
BST = British Summer Time, equal to GM+1, correct?
A very interesting way to be in contact with you Loren, a pleasure.
Thanks
Loren,
Thank you for answering my questions! It felt like it could have gone on for a while longer . . .
Jeremiah
Missed it by that much! Drat, I was too late. Maybe next time…
Yes, one hour seemed short, but at least I got to talk to 26 people who stepped forward with questions. No telling how many others were watching/reading, I’ve been told.
Anyway, it is now up and will remain available for people to go in and replay it.
The newspaper will do another live one again, in the fall.
Thank you all for stopping by, work day or not.
🙂
We need to do that again (I didn’t get a chance this time). How about a couple hours long with, say .50 – $1 per question answered…proceeds to the museum??? Just a thought…
