Posted by: Loren Coleman on September 6th, 2006
For those wanting a sneak peek of the Bigfoot in the September 9th movie Sasquatch Mountain to be broadcast on the Sci-Fi Channel, here’s an exclusive look. Two of these images have not been published before, and are being shared with readers here first. Needless to say, more direct images of the “Mountain Devil” will be revealed soon.

About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct).
Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015.
Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
I wonder if Tim Thomerson (the guy with the rifle) has Mike with him to turn Sasquatch’s thighbone into a pencil box?
Do you have to pay for the Sci Fi channel??
Sci Fi is typically part of a cable TV package, so you do have to pay for it. In my area, it is part of the expanded basic deal.
Hope it is a good movie.
GEEZ! He’s even out of focus in the MOVIES!
Sasquatch Mountain (aka Devil on the Mountain) is fictional.
Is the old guy with the rifle Ron Howard’s dad? I’d be tempted to take a shot with my .300 magnum if I saw one in the woods. Of course, if I ever actually saw one while hunting I might have a change of heart.
The “old guy with the rifle” is none other than Tim Thomerson.
Ron Howard’s dad, Rance is on the poster. Wanna bet, little brother, Clint is in the flick?

Interesting how Bigfoot is always portrayed as a bloodthirsty killer in these films.
This looks like a fantastic movie. I can hardly wait to see it. The creature looks really good.
I’m suprised Bigfoot was able to sneak up on these guys. If a D&D playing nerd can off one….
This is Lance Henrikson’s second Bigfoot movie in ONE YEAR!! Hey, maybe the creature DOES look good…but it probably won’t be seen until you’ve seen an hour or so….
Professional style blob-squatches. Maybe the screenwriter has been spending TOO MUCH time making sure he wasn’t skewing the known mythos 😉
All kidding aside though, I normally hate these sorts of movies, but after reading your interview with the writer, I’m actually looking forward to finding myself a copy of this one. (Alack, I gave up television in the mid 90s, so no Sci-Fi Channel for me.)
