Perez: Completely Baseless
Posted by: Loren Coleman on August 26th, 2009
Daniel Perez is the editor of the Bigfoot Times newsletter and author of Bigfoot at Bluff Creek. Perez passes along his statement about the latest M. K. Davis material.
Like Beckjord before him, Marlon Keith Davis has certainly done some good work, but I think in the long run what will be remembered is not his good work on the P-G film, but his bad work, laced with wild, unfounded speculation. I suppose MK Davis is looking for his 15 minutes of fame but I think his reputation is now soiled and in ruin and we will probably remember him as the new Beckjord or the infamous MK Davis. I think his underlying motivation is not to bring attention to the P-G movie, but to himself. His recent ideas are without merit and completely baseless.

About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct).
Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015.
Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
Hi Daniel,
In all fairness I must disagree with your comparison of Davis and Beckjord. I have dealt with Marlon several times and found him to be an honorable person. I agree his ideas on a massacre are on the fringe and hurt peoples reputations including his.
However, Rene Dehinden told me flat out that EB was a crook in a phone call in 2000. This was before he became so ill that it started to affect his mind. It’s known about EB’s harassment of people and his screwball views. It was as I told him another time a terrible waste of a good mind and life. Even Loren wasn’t immune from him.
Step back Daniel and read your writing. It’s about as personal as it can get.
