That Bigfoot Sculpture
Posted by: Loren Coleman on October 28th, 2009
Due to my recent appearances with the nearly 3 ft tall resin sculpture of Bigfoot (which I take to my talks and signings), several people have written in asking where I obtained it.
I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ll share the details again, with some cautionary warnings.
This display item is called the “Bigfoot, the Garden Yeti” Sculpture©, produced by Design Toscano.
The statue is 19½” W x 19″ D x 28½” H, weighs 12 pounds, and is valued at $98.95 (plus shipping). They are so popular, I am thinking about having a couple for sale in the International Cryptozoology Museum.
However, while they are an outdoor item, I do not recommend they be left outside, as they are stolen quite easily.
Also, I must warn female Bigfoot hunters: watch out if you venture too closely to this Bigfoot sculpture. I have noticed, fans love to have their pictures taken with it. But seriously, you have to be careful when photographing or being photographed with this item, when women are near it, for obvious reasons. The Bigfoot appears to have a mind of its own. Photographic evidence shared.
Some stories do have happy endings.
Thank you.
About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct).
Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015.
Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
Ouch! I’ve seen that sculpture around but little did I know it was such a babe magnet! I’ll take two please! Loren, I can’t tell you what a pleasure it is to read about a Cryptozoologist of your stature with a wonderful sense of humor! One more thing and it’s only for the sake of the museum, please convince those beautiful women to pose for a Cryptomundo Calender! It’s a guaranteed sell out and like I said, “I’ll take two” !
Seems you never run out of excuses to post these pictures Loren. If you ever do run out of excuses, let me know and I’ll think some up, LOL!
Oh…to be bigfoot.
Hey, that CryptoCalendar idea is a good one – images of the top 12 cryptids, with one final one of the interior of the Museum, featuring Loren and those babes… (or not).
Something else to sell there and… wait, is there gonna be a separate Museum WebSite? Should be, with everything on it, mugs, caps, teeshirts, calendars, sculptures, footprint casts, and all available over the counter or with a quik clik !
Bigfoot is a curious fellow isn’t he? 🙂
I second the calendar idea!
Wait… there was a bigfoot statue in that last group of photos?
Well I’ll be… you’re right. I must have been doing something similar to the wee statue…
Obviously any accurate representation of the Patterson Bigfoot should have breasts.
Maybe that is what the true message is here.
Lucky ape… 😛
As a woman I just have to say……..Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!
I can’t wait for you to open up the museum store to online orders! That sculpture will make a great companion for the limited edition sculpture you helped me get of Pattie. I also look forward to owning one of those posters, preferably signed.
Great-looking sculpture. great-looking women. What more can a Cryptozoologist ask for???
Gotta get me one of those sculptures. For Aesthetic reasons… 🙂
