Zoologist to address Bigfoot theoriesOROVILLE — Zoologist Ron Brown will speak on the “Bigfoot Legend Analyzed,” with videotape footage and an informational display of castings and visuals during the next in a series of summer speakers Wednesday at Lake Oroville Visitor Center theater.
Brown is co-operator of a breeding facility for Native African animals in South Africa. He studied the Bigfoot phenomenon at UC Berkeley, critiqued the well-known 1967 Patterson film and has been a contributing author for several books on Bigfoot. He has participated in field studies and investigations and is affiliated with the what he says is the only academically qualified field investigative team.
Brown’s talk will begin at 7 p.m. Visitor Center gates will be open after 5 p.m. and visitors may bring picnic dinners and dine on the patio before the program. The center is at 917 Kelly Ridge Road.
