Search For Elusive Bigfoot Brings Reality TV Investigators To Town

That is why producers with Animal Planet came to the area back in August to launch an investigation of their own. And it all comes to TV this weekend.

The name of this Sunday’s episode of “Finding Bigfoot” is called “Paranormal Squatchtivity” and a local couple was asked to lend a helping hand in the search for Sasquatch.

Producers and hosts of the show organized a town hall meeting at a Uniontown theater. More than 200 people attended, relaying their Bigfoot sighting stories in hopes that this mysterious creature can finally be found.

Back in August, Clairton couple Jim and Diane Trick were asked to go on an overnight investigation with the show because of their background in paranormal activity.

“We do paranormal investigations like you see ghost hunters on TV,” Jim Trick, of Goosebumps Paranormal Society, said.

The couple says paranormal activity and Bigfoot go hand in hand.

“We went out to Jumonville Glen, which has a haunted battlefield, which I found out this is where the French and Indian War started,” Diane Trick, of Goosebumps Paranormal Society, said.

“We heard some interesting noises out there, but we can’t elaborate on that right now,” Jim Trick said.

David Dragosin is the assistant director of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society, Western Pennsylvania chapter. He says there have been 22 Bigfoot sightings in the area.

“Why the activity, I don’t know. Do they migrate? Possibly. Do they hibernate? Possibly,” Dragosin said.

We may never know these things until there is proof that an actual Bigfoot exists.

“I need more evidence. I have to see something. The body, something to make it worth my while to believe,” Jim Trick said.
