Here’s some fan mail just received, addressed to Craig Woolheater:
I know you’re swamped, so I don’t want to take up too much of your time. I wanted to send out a thank you to you and the gang at Cryptomundo. Inspired by an article that Loren wrote way back in 2008, I just finished the first issue of a comic book titled Bigfoot – Sword of the Earthman. It’s not for sale yet, but as I navigate the sea of comic book publishing we now have an online presence to generate some grassroots buzz. If you want to take a look at the cover and the first three pages you can head over to our site. We just launched, so now we’re focused on just getting the word out on our little sci-fi epic.
As a writer and fan (I even met you and the crew at the 2005 Texas Bigfoot Conference,) I wouldn’t be lying if I said that the cryptid world plays a big part in the creative aspect of my life.
And Loren’s post that lit the fire? “Martian Bigfoot“!
After reading that, the only question I had was… “Well, how did he get there?” And from that kernel of an idea, the book was written, the artist acquired and site created. Bigfoot – Sword of the Earthman was born.
