Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

  1. One Eyed Cat responds:

    Hysterical!

The good thing in all of this is that the BF community caught it, While the media may want to run with it, at least they did not break the story.

  2. crypto_randz responds:

GREAT JOB, PETER WONDERFUL CARTOON VERY CREATIVE. We now left without any proof that these things ever existed. All our hopes and dreams went up in the air like a cloud of smoke. I still dont think that sean ang and dr.chow realize what they have done to all the research.

  3. twblack responds:

Still not 100% sure he was not part of all of it.

  4. sausage1 responds:

I agree with One Eye. As with nearly all these things CryptoMundo and its correspondents have been even more sceptical than the media, and once again we all called it right.

A big pat on the back for us!!

  5. apiraymond responds:

Just when we thought it is time to retire JH, here comes weird news:

News from The Star Malaysia (5 & 6 Aug):

Contrary to what was claimed by the website, association secretary Tay Teng Hwa (refering to JWPS) said it had never released any photo to anyone.

We will release photos of Bigfoot in a book that will be launched soon. Who said we gave them any photographs?” he said.

Yesterday, Chow clarified that the photo was not from the association but another source, which he was unwilling to reveal.

  6. Dark-Obsessor responds:

    Haha! Quite nice!

  7. bambookid responds:

These guys just don’t give up!

One more conflicting story to add to the list…

It is pretty obvious to me their main interest is selling books.

  8. civetcatman responds:

The entertainment value is priceless! It has been and continues to be funny, amusing and hilarious!

Angry and dissapointed at first, I now see the value it.

I’m lost now as to who’s responsible for what but would love to see what comes next!

  9. Jeremy_Wells responds:

    waitaminute…?!?
He’s still putting out the book?

  10. Dark-Obsessor responds:

Wasn’t the Johor Hominid more humanish?

  11. DWA responds:

    GO PETE!

Scat happens. On with The Search.
