Local college students are getting the chance to put their skills to the test as many are chosen to design new lottery tickets for the state.
The Idaho Lottery held a state wide competition to find a new look for their scratch tickets.
A total of 61 designs were submitted this year by various college students in the state.
Of the four-winning designs ISU junior Ryan Roghaar earned the grand prize taking home a $1,000 scholarship for his "Bigfoot” themed design.
“I’m working with a guy who’s putting together a Bigfoot event. I was struggling to come up with a good idea so his Bigfoot theme was ringing in my head, so it worked out,” said Roghaar.
Two of the four winning designs came from students at Idaho State University the other winning designs came from two University of Idaho students.
The four-winning designs will be printed as part of the official 2007 scratch ticket line up.
