Fox News Bigfoot Investigation

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on August 17th, 2007

You may remember the FOX News journalist Griff Jenkins who was allowed to tag along on the BFRO’s Michigan Bigfoot Expedition back in July.

The news segment that aired on Fox & Friends has finally made its way to youtube.

As normal Fox makes a big joke out of it.

  2. dogu4 responds:

Typical, and indeed indicative of the quality of entertain-news that pervades our media and in particular the quality of presentation at Fox.

But in its defense, the actual report was head and shoulders better than the utterly repellant tissue of information from Steve Ducey and those other sock-puppet stick-figure punch and judy characters that cohabit the boob tube with him as on air personalities. Soon to be self-declared journalists, no doubt. As this is where we get our information from, it’s no wonder we’re so easily duped.

  3. raphaelfenner responds:

FOX news is always taking serious issues and making a mockery of it, I guess that is why I watch MSNBC or CNN. That was a total asinine report.

  4. ShefZ28 responds:

Any news station would have made a joke about it. I stopped watching TV news a long time ago.

If I want to laugh at the news, i watch the Daily Show or Colbert Report.

  5. DARHOP responds:

    *headthroughtable* again…

  6. sschaper responds:

Someone’s obviously watched Destination Truth, or something like it, and copied some of the video techniques.

Media folk are going to be looking for audience share. That is their job. Sex, shock, and humor. Those gain audience share.

Serious journalism may be mostly relegated to the blogosphere.

  7. sausage1 responds:

You know, some of us in the Uk complain about our media being produced for people with soup for brains, so in a sense it is almost a relief to see that you guys are subjected to the same crap that we are. We don’t feel so alone. What you are watching in this clip is another example of bonehead TV for the attention deficit generation.

Perhaps the BFRO bring it on themselves a bit, but then if they denied the press the opportunity to tag along then they would be criticised for that. In this line you are damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

All we can do is to not dignify tosh like this by considering it, keep our dignity and integrity, and just keep enjoying what we are doing, and sod Fox, the BBC and all the rest.

  8. crypto-hunter465 responds:

Sigh…yeti is the Himalayan cousin of bigfoot.

Throughout the whole video, he was giving the people looks like they need to see pyschologists.

If he goes back, pigs will fly.

Another damaging clip to the reality of bigfoot.

  9. bill green responds:
