Sylvanic Sasquatch on Coast to Coast AM
Posted by: Craig Woolheater on April 7th, 2007
Sunday night on Coast to Coast AM, self-proclaimed “authority on Bigfoot” and the “discoverer of the species” Todd Standing will be interviewed by Art Bell.
It might be interesting if some of the Cryptomundo readers called in and asked some of the hard questions of Mr. Standing.
Read more about Todd Standing and Sylvanic here on Cryptomundo.
About Craig Woolheater
Co-founder of Cryptomundo in 2005.
I have appeared in or contributed to the following TV programs, documentaries and films:
OLN's Mysterious Encounters: "Caddo Critter", Southern Fried Bigfoot, Travel Channel's Weird Travels: "Bigfoot", History Channel's MonsterQuest: "Swamp Stalker", The Wild Man of the Navidad, Destination America's Monsters and Mysteries in America: Texas Terror - Lake Worth Monster, Animal Planet's Finding Bigfoot: Return to Boggy Creek and Beast of the Bayou.
I wish I could call in, but I’m not doing it from Japan! Someone definitely needs to ask the hard questions of him.
How I relish the opportunity. Like mystery_man, however, Nippon and it’s time constraints hinder me from doing so. 🙁
Haha, I listen to Coast to Coast every night so I’ll try and think of something to say to the guy. 🙂
What would you like to ask Standing? Post your questions here, and if one of us gets through to Art, we’ll have some good ammo.
Let’s go with my favourites:
How is it, exactly, that “Sylvanic” is a “Native” name for the area? When you say “Native”, to which groups are you referring? How did you learn of the name for this area? Why is it that no one else has heard of it? Why doesn’t it show up on any maps?
Fire away.
Everyone should email Art Bell at [email protected] and request that he get some other authority to call in and debate this Todd character, like Loren or Craig, or Jeff Meldrum, or even Lloyd Pye. I’m sure a real expert would love to talk to this guy. And if we all let Art know, he’ll listen and make it happen.
Show me the pixs….
It would seem, it should be alot easier getting something protected, if it was proven to exist.
Then again… if it doesn’t exist, getting it protected first would be the only possibility.
I guess I just answered my own question.
Let Mr. Standing have his say, alone, and let the questions come in, as they may.
Coast to Coast AM is not the greatest forum for debates, as ads, breaks, and cut-offs to the host are too frequent. It is better if one person just gets their time, and the listeners make their comments and ask their inquiries during the last one or two hours via phone-ins.
I will be on during the night of April 23rd, into the morning of April 24th, so I’ll have my time then. I’d rather sleep tonight, thank you, than get on there with Standing tonight in some choppy attempt at a thoughtful interchange on a movie I haven’t seen.
🙂
This morning the coast to coast website states that the legendary “Bugs” joined Art for the last hour of the show.
