Latest Update: Todd Standing and Sylvanic

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on October 26th, 2010

We have further updates on the information posted yesterday here on Cryptomundo.

Looking at the Sylvanic site, the photo posted yesterday has been replaced with a youtube video.

The problem with that is people have already been able to access the photo’s properties and they do not match the story from Standing.

Just as an FYI, Standing’s picture wasn’t photo shopped… but the properties are definitely suspect as I talked to a photography buff and the camera’s properties appear to have been in place to photograph a static subject.

Also the picture properties state the picture was taken on 8/18/10 at 8:13PM.

Did a brief synopsis of Todd “Rockwell” Standing of Outstanding Productions on the last half of the radio show last night. Presented some pretty condemning evidence of his legitimacy.Steve Kulls

    Heeeerrrre we gooo… again!

  2. Tacos_with_Chili responds:

Well…..People did say Bigfoot did look human like. It’s possible one day that Bigfoot would be caught up close. Even if the picture is in good condition. Maybe this is it. As for the same IP Address I will not comment on that because I wasn’t there <.< All I'm saying is that if I caught Bigfoot on camera, people will not believe it when they see it. There would probably be obstacles in the way that would make others believe my pic wasn't real.
Maybe the IP address issue here is the obstacle that someone stumbled on to the point that someone is claiming his photo is fake. I just don't take theories to seriously because not all theories are correct.
Haven't you guys/gals ever wondered that any statement claiming that the picture is fake for what ever reason might be a lie. So that people won't believe the person's pic because they might be afraid that Bigfoot..etc might become endangered by being hunted or they're jealous they didn't find it first.

SEEMS LIKE MR.STANDING IS ON HANDSHAKING TERMS WITH BF LIKE BISCARDI IS HERE IN AMERICA. I’VE HEARD STANDING’S OUTLANDISH CLAIMS OF BIGFOOT ADVENTURES ON C TO C RADIO. IN MY OPINION, HE IS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK AND A NAME FOR HIMSELF. BUT HE DOESN’T HAVE THE MARKET CORNERED ON THAT. A LOT OF OTHER FOLKS ARE DOING THE SAME THING. I’M FROM OHIO, AND HAVE ATTENDED GATHERINGS HERE. AS LONG AS YOUR DISCUSSIONS WERE ABOUT ENCOUNTERS IN THE CONFINES OF THEIR AREA, THAT WAS FINE. NO DISCUSSIONS WERE ALLOWED OR TOLERATED ABOUT SIGHTINGS OR BF NEWS ELSEWHERE. IN FACT A MEETING WAS CUT SHORT BECA– USE ATTENDEES WERE CHOMPING AT THE BIT TO DISCUSS FOOTAGE OF BF IN CANADA CAPTURED BY BYSTANDERS IN A TRUCK. THE GENTLEMAN GIVING THE PRESENTATION GOT MAD AND CLOSED THE MEETING. NOT BEFORE HIS WIFE WON THE DRAWING THEY HAD BEFORE THE CLOSE OF THE MEETING THOUGH. I GOT A GOOD EDUCATION THAT NIGHT AND IT REALLY OPENED MY EYES. STANDING, BISCARDI, AND COUNTLESS OTHERS EXPLOIT THE BIGFOOT MYSTERY. IT — USED TO ANGER ME BECA– USE I FELT IT WAS NOT ONLY INSULTING TO MY INTELLIGENCE, BUT TO MANY OF YOU OUT THERE TOO. BUT I THINK FOR THE MOST PART, WE SEE THRU THESE PEOPLE AND CAN SORT THRU FACT AND FICTION. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

  4. watn6789 responds:

The look in those eyes of that pic is the same as the look in the eyes in the video below… To add some extra merit.

  5. wildmaiden responds:

Todd has some interesting things to say in the YouTube comments for that video, including:

“I am very offended by your comments. Monkey suit?”

    AND

“I took over 30 pictures over the 20 minute period this animal was in that position. 6 are very good. The good ones are when his face was in direct sunlight. Direct sunlight is certainly NOT ideal for digital photography, but in my opinion i will never get better then these pics. I intend to produce at least a 20 minute segment with the live action video shots i have and more… Please be patient, i am very behind and still recovering from my injuries.”

    AND

“The picture WAS taken on that expedition. The camera i used simply has the wrong date on it. If i had the pic way back in August i would have released it.”

  6. watn6789 responds:

From link to embedded before it hits the wall, first rate!

  7. Baron Von Doren responds:

Why give this guy more attention? This is the kind of thing that makes the whole of bigfoot research look ridiculous. The mainstream media seizes on this type of story because it’s so easy to make the subject seem foolish. Why not just let Sylvanic die and focus on actual research and evidence?

  8. gridbug responds:

Agree that this does nothing to help our cause. If anything, fully vet the story and THEN post it, denouncing it as another attempt to hoax the BF community (which it clearly is). Just posting this story with a skeptical “maybe possibly could be” isn’t good enough, especially with the likes of Biscardi et al still prowling for camera time. Mainsteam media thrives on sensationalism and will jump on non-events such as this. And we all suffer.

  9. Mïk responds:

Relax, Folks. No need to shout. Let the hoaxters hoax, just don’t get all caught up in the chaos. When the real thing comes along, and it will because there’s so many more people taking it seriously (and why there’s so many more hoaxes), the truth will be recognized. Even in the noise of the media, good evidence will prevail. Keep looking and ignore that man behind the curtain.

  10. Tacos_with_Chili responds:

Honestly, I wouldn’t ignore this man. If it’s a hoax, It will be known. If it’s not a hoax, it will be known. Either way, it will be known as a hoax or legit. Ignoring this man will not make Bigfoot real. You’ll never know which male or female is telling the truth. How about you find the real Bigfoot and had took pictures of it or video taped it. You post it online. People start blabbing their mouths about “Ignore this person”. How would you feel if they start saying it’s a hoax and ignore you? If you keep ignoring a person for claiming the capture of Bigfoot by pictures, video or body, you’ll might regret it if he/she turns out to be legit.

  11. JMonkey responds:

Sadly, once he posts this video, if it is proven to be real, every hunter in the surrounding territory will probably be able to pick out the location. Too bad he believes that bringing other scientists and possibly the Canadian Wildlife Service in to see this rare animal, so that it can be proven and protected would be dangerous. Seems like the alternative will be just as bad.

I am confused by what he means when he says the animals dominated them. Were they physically abused, did the animals try to attack them, were they run off repeatedly. I am interested in finding out more on this subject.

Unfortunately it is the status quo to hold a big press release, and milk the attention for all its worth. In this case I think he may be taking it too far, especially with him refering to himself as the “foremost expert on bigfoot.” I am sure that many others have done just as much work if not more in this area. But I guess you can claim to be whatever you want, it just does not make it true. Other than that I will try to reserve my judgement for when the full video comes out.

  12. Pass responds:

There’s more than a thousand people claim they have seen Bigfoot.

I suppose, at least one of them, could tell us if a Bigfoot looks like this!

Just wait to read: THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I SAW!

    😉

  13. paul_r responds:

I’m confused about why Steve Kulls should be taken with credibility after his history with Tom Biscardi; including the bigfoot in the freezer fiasco.

I guess this is the pot calling the kettle a hoaxer!

  14. sparklebug responds:

The bigfoot in the freezer fiasco? what?!?! I’ll have to google that! My focus is more on the aquatic creatures but, I do find all of the Big Foot sightings to be fascinating!

  15. anomalocaris responds:

The image C to C posted appeared to have been digitally altered, beginning with a photo of a lion, with the lower portion of the face added later. I wouldn’t have chosen a lion to begin with, for a very simple reason. Lions have fur. Apes have hair. Sylvanic claims to be dealing not only with apes, but specifically with hominid apes. So using something with fur to hoax the photos with makes it a dead giveaway to anyone with any experience with hominid apes (I have 17 years hands-on experience with them, which is why it immediately looked odd to me.)

  16. j stewart responds:

These look about as fake as a rubber costume in a freezer or a guy in a suit in California…….Smells real strong like a hoax…

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
