Bigfoot Always Loves You: Updated
Posted by: Loren Coleman on August 25th, 2008
Look at this interesting promotional video for the Redwoods forest in California.
This video was posted on YouTube on August 14, 2008, two days after you read here that this costume was the one behind the Georgia Bigfoot carcass and a day before the “Bigfoot Friday” news conference.
Richard Stenger, the media and marketing spokesman from the Humboldt County Convention & Visitors Bureau, said on August 15, after the news conference, that he thought the costume was the same suit as was used in this hoax.
We agree.

About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct).
Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015.
Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
Loren, that film is hilarious! I agree that’s likely the same costume. It also shows why it would be thoroughly unconvincing in a film, so the Georgia guys had to make it a dead Bigfoot instead.
nice video
It does look a little like the Georgia Gorilla but I dont think that its the same costume.
On the Bigfoot loves you costume there is visible skin on the chest but the georgia bigfoot costume had none. The neck is also longer on the Bigfoot loves you costume but on the georgia costume it has no neck at all. The face also looks a little different. But who knows I geuss they could have altered the costume.
No, this is the costume they used, which can be found here.
[As has been previously mentioned on Cryptomundo. Ed.]
You do realise this is a mickey-take of the Born Free lion video that’s been really popular for a while now?
funny send-up on the Born Free video.
That commercial is so cute! I love it! Thanks for sharing it–it made my day, along with my husband’s, my daughters’ and my brother’s. We all had a good laugh with it.
Hmmm…. Makes me hungry for beef jerky. (It’s better to have beef jerky than jerky ex-cops).
Hysterical! That is probably one of the best parodies I have seen in a long time. What a great rendition of Christian the Lion-The Reunion!
Just awesome! Now that is one I would probably have not found on my own. So thanks for sharing that with me!
Great Video! Brings a more light hearted atmosphere to the recent events. I also had never heard of the lion story. That video was actually kinda touching…
