Latest Fake Bigfoot Video?

Posted by: Loren Coleman on May 3rd, 2008

This is suppose to be a new – specifically taken on April 19, 2008 – video of a “Bigfoot sighting in a remote region of Transylvania County, North Carolina.”

Instead, what I see is another video that is so faked, from the human in the suit to the less-than-clear wording describing it, I am shocked it is called a “Bigfoot sighting” vs what it is – a dramatic production staged for the camera.

Bubba Cromer, who sent this to me, has produced a film that is good movie, which is a delightful comedy milestone in cryptofiction, but why are these videos still appearing? Publicity for the movie?

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

Forget the film, there is a Transylvania County, North Carolina? Maybe that is a real hairy Vampire instead.

    Best

  2. DavidFullam responds:

As a native North Carolinian, even I had no idea we had a vampire county. Best way to do a hoax, shoot from long distance and have lots of trees obscure the view.

  3. CamperGuy responds:

Transylvania county in North Caorlina is the story! Vampires, werewolves and gypsies oh my! How about a castle or two? Don’t forget a horde of villagers with pitch forks and torches. Now that would be a weekend to remember. 🙂

To whoever made the video thank you for sharing.

  4. Artist responds:

Looks like an otter on a unicycle to me…
    But I could be wrong.

  5. red_pill_junkie responds:

Sheeesh, it’s like they’re not even trying anymore.

I would definitely LOVE to have a ‘Transilvania’ home address to “bid you velcome” -)

  7. greatqualitygoods responds:

the costume looks and walks like that other fake footage that turned out to be advertising for the kids size bigfoot costume earlier in the year

  8. Spinach Village responds:

I definitely believe that there exist a species or multiple species of bigfoot… but I found this to be horrible…maybe i’m wrong (that rarely happens, except everyday) ….. never the less…
    oh brudder!

  9. windigo responds:

I could barely contain myself. Seriously though, when will they stop? I know it sounds morbid, but it going to take a drunken hunter with clear-headed aim to halt the masses of these morons?

  10. CryptoHaus_Press responds:

unless this cryptid got into some ‘caroline mash’ from a hidden still?

a man in a suit BARELY able to walk a straight line!

  11. Matt_J responds:

    I live in North Carolina.

Transylvania County is one of those tiny counties up in the Appalachians along the border where North Carolina, Georgia and South Carolina come together.

The video is pretty ridiculous, too.
