Back From Lake Champlain

Champ

Well, I’m back from Lake Champlain, having spent some good time there with the film crew from Nippon TV. I’ll write more about it later today, but merely wished to report in that while no images of Champ were recorded (the above fake is from a Burlington Free Press photo contest from last summer), I was surprised to discover they had earlier had 80-year-old Roy Mackal at the lake too.

More later…

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

See what we “enthusiasts” are up against?

Anybody driving by the pictured event and catching a glimpse of the form moving in the water, then not stopping to check it out, could insist they “had seen Champ”, and, as far as they are concerned, they would be right!

  2. Bob Michaels responds:

Roy Mackal Of loch Ness fame, glad he`s still with us.

  3. UKCryptid responds:

As stated the picture posted above is a definate fake, to avoid any confusion for those of us here that don’t read the associated article and just make comments based on the first photo they saw 🙂

Will look forward to hearing how your visit went Loren. I’m off to loch ness in June, so it’ll be a fun trip for me soon as well 🙂

  4. mystery_man responds:

Looking forward to hearing details about the trip, regardless of whether any footage was taken.

  5. bukko responds:

I’m also looking forword to your full report, Mr. Coleman. I wonder what you (or anybody) think about these lake “monsters”.
Personally I don’t believe most reports. But, I could very well be WRONG! I would really like to be wrong on this one. I don’t know much about lake monsters. Hope to learn more.

  6. springheeledjack responds:

Am happy to hear that Roy Mackal is still around…he was one of my authors growing up and followed some of his stuff!

Lake Champlain is one of my “holy lands” and am planning my pilgrimage…

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
