Did you know there’s an insider’s secret to book buying?
Help me out – and yourself in the long run, folks. Mark the date April 24th down. Ten days and counting.
Please buy the 2007 edition of Mysterious America: The Ultimate Guide to the Nation’s Weirdest Wonders, Strangest Spots, and Creepiest Creatures on April 24th!
If you have been thinking about purchasing the new edition of Mysterious America, how about picking April 23-April 24 to place your orders?
Here’s the insider’s secret: A concentrated buying spree on one date – in this case, the release date, April 24th – goes far in assisting book stores, libraries, and online booksellers to see here is a book with general and widespread interest, indeed, a book which they should choose to order and stock.
Insider’s secret #2: Causing, through your purchases on that specific day, this popular, classic book to zoom to the top of the bestsellers lists’ for even one week also would help other authors of Fortean and cryptozoology books to convince future publishers and book merchants that these kinds of nonfiction works are wanted and bought by the public. In the end, you, the readers win because a greater diversity of books and authors are produced in the same genre, cryptozoology and forteana.
So, please, do your part and buy a year’s worth of book gifts for friends and family, purchase one for your local library, and get your own personal copy of Mysterious America on April 24th!
Of course, if you think you’ll be busy on the 24th, just put in an order today. That will help too, in terms of the build-up to that magic date. More on why April 24th is special in a future posting during the next ten days.
Thank you.

You also have that radio interview on Coast to Coast with George Noory at 1AM ET on Apr 24th. If you buy it on Amazon, no state sales tax, buy two, no charge for shipping.
Well now you tell me 😉
I went with the post a few days ago and pre-ordered Harry and the Hendersons with the book. That didn’t cover the free shipping so I bought another book I’ve been looking at.
Quite alright Shef, as every order helps, one way or the other. Merely trying to give some hints to this little-known tidbit.
Thank you.
I’m gonna buy like three at least. My grandmammy likes cool stuff and I never buy her nothing.
I have a previous, hardcover edition and it’s hard to put down. A wonderfully fun book with tons of local interest. I would definitely recommend buying the latest edition, which is something I intend to do on April 23.
