Binnall, Keating, and Me
Posted by: Loren Coleman on October 16th, 2007
Tim Binnall, a radio journalist of some note, attended the Mass Monster Mash and gathered several interviews. Watch his site, Binnall of America for his forthcoming commentary and interviews. John Horrigan, an excellent host and conference organizer, honored Tim with two well-deserved recognition plaques on both nights of the events.
Tim also took photographs. He is the first to publish images from the conference on the web. Here’s two: Tim with me and Tim with Don Keating.
Don gave a good Fortean talk on his “White Sasquatch” video, and I gave the first lecture of my life exclusively on the Dover Demon case of 1977, using almost 50 slides. Both were well received.
Below is the never-before-published photograph from Amber Waterman, a professional photographer of the Lewiston Sun-Journal. The newspaper just gave their permission for this photo to be shown here on Cryptomundo, exclusively. It was not used in the article last week about the museum (per these two blogs, here and here).
About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct).
Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015.
Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

Cool hat, 🙂
Man wish I could be there. Looked like a interesting conference! Wish there were some Cryptozoological one in Buffalo NY
Shame they didn’t use that pic in the paper. I thought they should have had one of Bf and it looks like you photographed very nicely.
Loren looks kinda tall — and where did Bigfoot find such a cool hat?
Kool. Don’t think I have ever seen a clear cast before. How is that made I wonder?
The MassMonsterMash was superb. John Horrigan did another bang-up job this year. It was great to have Loren as a speaker and to have the occasion to shake the man’s hand and chat for a moment. A great night for me.
